A dark grey wolf slowed his steps as the gate, tangled with vines, creaked open. He shifted into human form and walked over the coral stone path, littered with dry leaves. Letting out a rough breath, he reached for the doorknob—only to pause when the door swung open by itself. He chuckled under his breath and stepped inside.
