During the drive, Mr. Curtis sensed something was wrong. Something had finally broken inside of Ju-Won and the pieces would never again fit together in the same way.
“You’ve been very quiet, honey? Don’t you like the sexy tattoos I gave you?”
Ju-Won nodded yes.
“OK. Is there anything else wrong?”
Ju-Won shook her head no.
“Are you upset about what happened at the tattoo parlor?”
Ju-Won looked down without answering. Tears suddenly formed in Ju-Won’s eyes and dripped down her cheeks.
