I hid under the comforter, patiently waiting for that bishop to go. Truth to be told, I wasn’t expecting Lucius to handle this situation. I mean, he wasn’t going through what I went and it was only a matter of relief that he stepped in to protect my dignity.
The second thing was his respect for the bishop. But tonight I felt some tension between the two men; as if they go back to history.
Either way, I was happy I didn’t have to pretend things were alright and stand in front of those perverse eyes. Then again, I cannot be sure since he is a bishop and unlike Lucius, he has taken celibacy oath. Maybe, it was just me!
But how can I ignore my intuitions? A girl knows better than anyone else!
