Adonis had returned to the Wertheimer household with swollen eyes and a dead body. Berton, Adonis's father's critical gaze, met his azure eyes. Much to Berton's dismay, Adonis had failed in bringing Venus back with him.
In regards to his failure, Adonis tried to explain to his father his situation, "Father, I--"
