After a while, the stray cat slowly opened its eyes.
"Alina, you're amazing!" Hunter looked at me in astonishment. "It actually woke up."
The stray cat saw us and weakly meowed a few times.
"It's thanking us!" Hunter exclaimed joyfully.
"Probably not." I shook my head. "It's speaking Stayton beast language with a heavy accent. I can barely make out that it's cursing the one who attacked it earlier."
The stray cat seemed to understand my words and meowed again.
"This little guy has quite the temper, still cursing." Hunter was amused by the cat's reaction.
"No, this time it's thanking us," I said, feeling the gratitude it conveyed.
Hunter laughed as well. "Looks like my ten-plus years living here can't compare to your alpha talents. I can't understand a word they're saying."
