Samson shrugged again, faced his looped cord, pulled his scissors from his pocket and leaned towards the looped trigger rope. "Stop!" Samson jumped and spun around to facing his Science professor. "Is that how you cut the cable last time, Candidate Rockpoint?" Not knowing what to say and vividly recalling the last time and his wet pants, he only nodded in the affirmative. The professor looked around at Samson's classmates and their implements before he borrowed one with a serrated blade at the end of a long finely carved spear. With a brief word of thanks to his classmate, Samson turned back to the ballista and at the length of the pole began to file through the cord.
