Thursday, mid-evening
Etienne held Julio until he fell asleep. After gently placing him aside, Etienne went up to his office and called Armand.
“La Marche residence, this is Pierre…”
“Good evening, Pierre, this is Alpha Daurensbourg. I need to speak to The Alpha, please.”
“I’ll see if he’s available, Alpha Daurensbourg.”
Etienne tapped his fingers on his desk as he waited. Finally, Armand picked up the phone. “Alpha, I’m sorry to disturb you this evening.”
“Sean and I were about to watch Bridge of Spies, the movie about the prisoner exchange for the U2 pilot, on cable. I like Tom Hanks. He plays an ordinary man so well. I remember those times. Back then, I thought the humans were going to slaughter all of us with their nuclear missiles.”
