This is it! My smile is getting wider and wider as the time is nearing on my wedding. I looked at the mirror and smiled at my hairstylist who's fixing the hair that got messed up when I wore my wedding gown. In just an hour I'll be married to the man of my life. I can't help but giggle remembering the thing Drake said about our wedding night.
"It will be the best night of our lives, babe. I'll make sure of that" he said and winked at me.
"What made you smile, honey?" my mom ask.
She's wearing her dress which is an off-shoulder white long gown. Her hair was curled and placed on her right shoulder. My mom is still beautiful despite being 43 years old.
"Nothing mom. I just remember Drake."
She smiled. "How I wish your dad can walk you down the aisle right now. It's one of his dreams you know. Aside from you he's been dreading for this day to happen" Tears are starting to roll down her cheeks.
My eyes are starting to water also. I also wish my dad can walk me down the aisle with my mom. I missed my dad so much. I hugged my mom and she hugged me back.
"But don't worry Alex, wherever he is right now I know he's happy for you. He's happy that someone like Drake will take care of her daughter." She wipes my tears and continue. "I can't believe you'll be marrying someone now but no matter what, always remember that I'll be here for you and you'll always be my little princess. Understand?"
I smiled and hugged her tightly. "Yes, mom."
"Okay, I think that's enough." Mandy, Drake's mother said. "We have to go now, the wedding will start at..." She looks at her wristwatch. "about 30 mins, so we better move on."
And our team were all ready to go to the church where the wedding will be held. I was riding in the bride's car with my mom and Drake's mom. I'm feeling nervous right now. I don't know, maybe because we're nearing to the church and I'm nervous to walk down the aisle with all the people- I mean some important people in New York- looking at me. I take a deep breath and relax, I felt my mom's hand squeezed my hand and I smiled at her. Drake's mom, Mandy seemed to be busy with her phone and she's frowning. I don't want to disturb her so I just looked straight on the road until we arrive at the church.
Everybody seemed shocked, frightened and nervous. Mandy got out of the car as fast as a lightning and went to his husband. My mom is also looking at them in the window.
"What's happening?" I voiced out.
My mom squeezed my hand again. After how many minutes- I can't remember- Mandy opened the car's door and said the something that I haven't expected.
"He's gone."
I open my mouth to say something but then close it again, trying to process what she said and trying to think of something to say, but only three words came out of my mouth.
"Where's my groom?"
