Her Broken Heart

First meet

October’s are the transient period for climate in india specially in north when people finally says

goodbye to heat and humidity and welcome winters with open arms. It was her diwali break and she was

very happy to be at home for the first time after admission in college.She never liked to share her

family with anyone,they were just four of them,she,her mother,her father and grand ma,but today was

different,her grandfathers bestfriend’s family  was coming to india for the first time and her father

respected his father a lot so he wanted to welcome that man with lots of love and enthusiasm,so they

all were busy in preparation.

She had already thought about it in her mind she will hate him for sure, the guy who was about to come

that night with his parents for a 10 day stay at their place,not because they were about to get attention

from her family but the reason being he will get to sleep in her beautifully designed cozy bed when she

will sleep in her grandmom’s room, Rawat  house was very big but apart from few  rooms which were close to theirs, her parents won’t allow her to sleep in any other room cause she had a problem of screaming in her sleep and it usually worried her parents a lot if she sleeps far from them.

She was already making plans in her mind of how to get rid of that guy,she had read so many books and

watched so many movies which made her mind clear that this guy will be totally spoiled.

One because he was brought up in Canada,

second he was rich nri guy(mind it rich nri guy is the biggest defect for

aanya),

Third cause she hated him.

Her fren ridhi told her how can you hate someone whom you haven’t even met yet, i think you gonna fall for him, he looks dashing on his insta profile, and she wants to prove her friend wrong so she was sure she is gonna hate him!

Around 7’o clock her mother asked her to change her clothes and wear something which describes

authenticity of Indian culture,just to show him down,she changed into her yellow and green churidar

otherwise she was in no mood of welcoming them,she was taught to respect her elders that was the only reason she had no option of just hating him only. 

She was standing in front of her mirror when her mother called her to go on terrace and see if there are no clothes on wires, she was always taught by her mom to do house chores even when they have an army of maids.

While climbing stairs she heard her family welcoming them.She was on terrace when her mobile rang,it was ridhi,her room partner,she called to enquire how he looked and all in person,  she told her she will update her in night as she hasn’t seen him and then by judging him on the basis of his looks they will make a plan.Her mother was calling her so she asked ridhi to disconnect the call and promised her she will call her  as soon as she gets a look at him.

She hurriedly made the pile of clothes and as she turned she found herself standing in front of a handsome guy, he just took her breath away. She so badly wanted to hate him but she was enchanted by him in the very first sight. She wanted to look away from his beautiful almond shaped eyes which were deeper then any ocean but she felt like something was holding her,some power was there in his eyes which were not allowing her to take her eyes off him,but she quickly came back to her senses and tried to sound rude and enquired him who he was and what the hell he was doing on her terrace. She was lost in the flow of his words when very decently he told her, Hi,I am rishi and I know this beauty is none other than Ms Aanya,actually I never wanted to scare you but your mother was busy in kitchen and there was no one around who was available to call you 

downstairs, so i believe i was asked to call you down.

 She asked him to go down and tell her mom that it will just take her a minute to join them.He followed her instructions and went down and to her surprise rather than hating him,she was loving him in every aspect.Being strong in her decision she joined her family downstairs.She tried to avoid looking him in his eyes. Her hate embraced her back when her father mentioned at dinner table that rishi will sleep in aanya’s bedroom,his parents requested that they won’t mind sleeping together in guest room but her dad said,aanya won’t mind if rishi sleeps in her room and like a dutiful child she agreed to what her father said with a smile,but she hated him because he never said I don’t have any problem sleeping in guest room,just his one statement would have created a difference and his father will approve her of sleeping in her room. Her dad knew it very well that she told them all I don’t want him to be around me for long but to her amazement  her father asked her to finish the dinner and show rishi her room as he might be  tired of travelling.

She loved her family a lot so she noded in approval,aunty and her mom went to other room to sleep and

both dads walked out the door for a little stroll. When they both finished their dinner she asked him if he

wanted him to show him the way to his room.On the way she tried not to speak to him much she just

answered him by means of yes or no.She left him to the door and bid him good night.

Lying next to her grandmother’s,she was analyzing her meeting with uncle,aunty and rishi,she found

uncle and aunty quiet nice and down to earth and was sure she hated rishi,she knew she was wrong in

hating him but she was so stub born to change her mind.Thinking about it all she slept.She felt

someone’s warm hand on her cold sweaty head,coming back to her senses she realized,it was some

strangers hand,the moment she saw that strangers face she jerked his arm and asked him to get out of

the room and never try to touch a girl again without asking for her permission first.

She could see it from her face he was hurt by her pricky statement but she was surprised when she saw

him in there. It took her a minute to realize what happened.She was in her parents room sleeping with

grand ma,she might have seen the same weird dream again,grandma sleeps without hearing-aid so sdidn’t hear her screaming and rishi was in next room so he came to help her.She felt bad on her 

behavior,but didn’t feel like apologising so slept again.
