Chapter 8

Never in his life did he ever want to anger the creepy, sinister girl but Phoenix knew his ground and when he had to put the shoe on the other foot. And it was now. He shakily sighed, "I-I'm afraid you are mistaken, I do not know what you mean of a hidden Luna." "Is that so?" Raze nodded, grinning with small fangs appearing. "Yes. I only have o-one Luna here in my territory, and that is my beloved wife Freya. Search the whole territory, I will not stop you." Chilling laughter eminated from the girl, doubling over as she gripped the metal foot of the bed. It was insane. She was insane. She laughed, hand running over her face as she glanced at his soul. "Not stopping me from visiting my clan's burial grounds, really? Am I supposed to be grateful and honored, Pack Alpha?" Her smile never dropped as the lights of the room went out and covered the room in darkness. There, — like a nightmare he never wanted to have again — at the foot of his bed was two gleaming eyes. One blood red, the other gold as the sunset. Her grin etched on her face like she was a drawing of horror. "F-Father!" He could feel his sons grappling at his arms as they too saw it. Felt it. The animosity, the bloodlust, and the intent. "Then, if I can't find her, I'll guess I have to take your son." He could hear it in her voice. A soul tormented and screeching from the depths of Hell. "You can have the other three. And I'll grant you the honor of picking who to go with me." The sadistic tone grated on his nerves. How dare she threaten him with his sons?! "Or would you rather I take all of innocents here? Hm?" He gripped on the two of his sons' hands, blood running cold as ice. H-He can't..surely there must be another way?? "I-I beg you, please!" Phoenix could not help but plead. He wasn't about to choose between his heir and the lives of his people. What kind of a leader would he be? "Where is she?" He shook, — thanking the being in front of him that the room was dark — as tears fell from his blue eyes. "The clock is ticking. I hope you've choosen a suitable sacrifice for me, dear." Phoenix pulled on his sons to stop them from trying to shift, "P-Please, have mercy!" "I don't like repeating myself, I've told you that." Dark shadows shaped like hands began to crawl their way up to his vision. "I'll t-tell you," He broke down. "I'll tell you e-everything! Spare my sons!!" The lights came back on and a semblance of warmth covered them — when did they become so sweaty? The girl bowed her head lightly, "Take all the time you need." Her grin still ever present. "After all, we have a lot of it." They stared holes into Raze as she sat back in the chair located at corner of the room as if nothing happened.
