Chapter 5: The Celestial Key

1154 Words
The roar echoed across the mountains. Deep. Ancient. Powerful enough to make the very earth tremble. Trees swayed violently. Birds erupted from distant forests in frightened flocks. Even the stars above seemed to dim for a brief moment. Silence followed. A heavy, suffocating silence. Sanyukta stared at Elara. The angel's face had gone pale. For the first time since appearing in the forest, she looked genuinely afraid. That alone terrified Sanyukta. Because if an angel was scared... Then whatever had awakened had to be unimaginably dangerous. "Who's awake?" Sanyukta asked. Her voice sounded smaller than usual. Elara slowly turned toward her. "The Guardian of the Celestial Gate." Randhir frowned. "I've studied every known prophecy." His grip tightened around his sword. "I've never heard of such a being." "Because that knowledge was erased." Elara's answer came immediately. "The Guardian existed long before the kingdoms of Earth." A cold wind swept through the forest. The silver-haired messenger looked toward the heavens. Far above the clouds. Far beyond mortal sight. "The Celestial Gate separates worlds." Her voice became distant. "As long as it remains closed, balance exists." Sanyukta crossed her arms. She was trying very hard not to panic. "So... opening it is bad?" Elara looked at her. "Catastrophically bad." "Wonderful." Sanyukta sighed dramatically. "My life was so much simpler four days ago." Despite the tension, Randhir almost smiled. That ability to joke in impossible situations was becoming surprisingly familiar. But the smile disappeared quickly. Because the ground trembled again. A low vibration spread through the earth. Everyone felt it. Something was moving. Something enormous. Far away... Yet getting closer. Beyond the Celestial Gate... An endless realm of golden clouds stretched toward infinity. Ancient towers floated in the sky. Massive rivers of light flowed through the heavens. And at the center stood the Gate itself. Millions of symbols glowed across its enormous surface. Each one representing forgotten languages. Forgotten civilizations. Forgotten worlds. The gate had remained sealed for thousands of years. Now... A c***k had appeared. A single opening. Yet even that tiny gap was enough. A colossal shadow moved behind it. The creature's size defied imagination. Mountains would seem insignificant beside it. Its golden eyes glowed brighter than suns. Ancient chains wrapped around its body. Some remained intact. Others had begun breaking. One chain snapped. The sound echoed across dimensions. BOOM! The creature slowly lifted its head. Its gaze turned toward Earth. Toward the First Key. Toward Sanyukta. And for the first time in centuries... It began to move. Inside the Royal Palace... Chaos erupted. Guardians rushed through hallways. Messengers arrived every few minutes. Reports grew worse and worse. The sacred crystal sphere at the center of the council chamber now glowed so brightly that nobody could look directly at it. The Lady stood before the council. Ancient manuscripts floated around her. Every page contained warnings. Every page contained fear. "The seals are weakening." Several council members exchanged horrified glances. "How many?" The Lady swallowed. "Three." Silence. The First Man staggered backward. "Three seals have already broken?" She nodded. "And every Key that awakens weakens another." Fear spread throughout the room. The Third Man quietly observed everyone. Hidden beneath his sleeve, the black symbol on his hand pulsed again. A faint smile touched his lips. Everything was proceeding exactly as planned. No one noticed. No one suspected. The traitor remained hidden. For now. Back in the forest... Sanyukta sat beside a fallen tree while Elara explained everything. Or at least attempted to. The explanations seemed to create more questions than answers. "So let me get this straight." She pointed toward herself. "I'm the First Key." Elara nodded. "Yes." "There are six others." "Correct." "Dark forces are hunting us." "Unfortunately." "And now there's a giant gate monster coming toward Earth." Elara hesitated. "That's... a simplified version." Sanyukta buried her face in her hands. "This is ridiculous." Randhir sat beside her. "You're handling it surprisingly well." She looked up. "On the inside, I'm screaming." That earned a faint laugh from both Randhir and Elara. For a brief moment, the atmosphere lightened. Then the silver mark on Sanyukta's wrist suddenly flashed. Everyone froze. The symbol glowed intensely. A vision appeared before her eyes. At first, everything was blurry. Then images began forming. A desert. Golden sand stretching endlessly. A young man standing alone beneath a burning sun. His hands were surrounded by blue flames. Strange symbols glowed across his arms. He looked around twenty-three years old. Confused. Lost. Awakening. The vision vanished instantly. Sanyukta gasped. "What was that?" Elara's eyes widened. "You saw another Key." "What?" "The Second Key is awakening." Randhir stood immediately. "Already?" Elara nodded grimly. "It's happening faster than expected." The situation was becoming more dangerous by the hour. The Keys weren't supposed to awaken simultaneously. According to ancient records, the process should have taken years. Not days. Something was accelerating destiny. Something powerful. And no one knew why. Meanwhile... Within the Dark Fortress... The hooded ruler watched the same vision appear inside a black crystal sphere. The desert. The young man. The Second Key. A smile spread across his face. "Excellent." The shadow warriors surrounding him bowed. "My Lord?" "The Keys are awakening ahead of schedule." The ruler slowly rose from his throne. His crimson eyes gleamed. "Find the boy." The warriors vanished instantly. One Key had already escaped him. That mistake would not happen again. Back beneath the stars... The forest had grown unnaturally quiet. No birds sang. No insects chirped. Even the wind seemed reluctant to move. Randhir noticed first. His expression darkened. "We're not alone." Elara immediately spread her glowing wings. Silver energy gathered around her hands. Sanyukta stood. "What is it now?" Then she felt it. Dozens of presences. Hidden among the trees. Watching. Waiting. The darkness around them began moving. Not naturally. Intentionally. Crimson eyes appeared between branches. One pair. Then another. Then ten. Then dozens more. Sanyukta's heart nearly stopped. "Please tell me those are friendly." "They're not." Randhir summoned his sword. Silver light exploded into existence. The blade hummed with power. Elara stepped beside him. Her wings expanded. The forest became illuminated by celestial light. The shadow creatures slowly emerged. There were far more than before. Hundreds. Perhaps thousands. An entire hunting force. The Dark Lord had decided to stop waiting. The lead creature stepped forward. Its voice sounded like grinding stone. "The First Key belongs to darkness." Randhir moved protectively in front of Sanyukta. "No." The creature smiled. A horrifying smile. "You cannot stop what is coming." Lightning flashed overhead. Thunder shook the sky. Far above the clouds... The colossal being behind the Celestial Gate opened both eyes. The stars themselves seemed to tremble. And as the shadow army advanced through the forest... The Guardian Beyond the Gate took its first true step toward Earth. The final war had begun. And Sanyukta had only just discovered who she truly was. To be continued... ✨🗝️👼🏻⚔️🌙🪽🌌👁️‍🗨️
