The beginning

894 Words
Jack, strong minded, dominant, strong willed, well built, good looking, desired by many, followed by even more. That is how he would describe himself. Isabella had a couple of more words to add beginning with the words thoughtless, arrogant, selfish, self indulged, toooo dominant. There could not be even too much emphasis on his dominance. She sighed whilst putting body cream on her body after the relaxing shower she just had. He was an Alpha. Some of the traits he was perhaps born with or had to acquire them over time. He was born arrogant, she thought with gritted teeth. Isabella had put her hair in a messy bun so that her long curly blonde hair would not touch her freshly creamed body. She was behind a closet door, which did not reach completely the floor and had put her towel in front of her on one of the shelves. Her bar feet could be only seen if someone would burst into the room. She was in a kind of resort built building. Every room could have two occupancies, therefore there were two single beds far from each other or at least considering the size of the rooms size far away. It was not huge but neither small. She shifted her weight unconsciously to the her other feet and winced due to the sudden pain of her injured ankle. Stupid mutt, called Jack, had pushed her whilst walking passed her and she had twisted her ankle. I guess she should be grateful that he bothered to stop after pushing her, by mistake as he emphasized, against the wall and twisting her ankle. He was passing his arrogant and strong body past her and she did not move fast enough out of his way. The consequence was her injured ankle. She wanted to limp to the end of the corridor, where her room was located. Jack picked her up by the waist and lifted her up and carried her in front of him. Both his hands were on either side of her waist and their bodies did not touch otherwise. She was completely humiliated. She was carried like trash to the trash can. He abruptly stopped and dropped her off in front of her door and swiftly without a word went back to his friends/ pack. She glared daggers at his back. Such a humiliation. His distaste for her was clearly showing. Not all werewolves liked the idea of having a witch amongst themselves. She liked his pack but not so much their Alpha. Sometimes she thought on how this would work out in the future. Her blood was boiling thinking about his words and actions towards her. Why did she bother staying here any longer one would ask? Well, she was broke and was not ready to return to the witches and wizards. She liked Jessica and Julia and the others from the pack. They cooked together, gossiped together, went swimming and went shopping together. Well window shopping, cooking food of the packs food and she watched them swimming since she could not afford a new bathing suit. She was a so called free loader and she provided her services and protection as payment. Not that kind of services. The services of sorting out their finance. The previous person was not too bothered about documents and had left in a mess once he found his mate far away and left the pack in a little chaos. She had sorted it out quite quickly and could stay without paying for rent and food. She was protecting the pack from magical beings since werewolves strength was not part of detecting magical interventions. She smiled as she thought that it went also the other way around. When she was bothered by an over eager man whilst buying groceries, Jim and Nathan had protected her from his forced advances. He had been stalking her at the grocery shop and trying to talk to her multiple times. She tried her best to avoid him but it did not work out. Once Jim and Nathan appeared and threatened to beat the crap out of him, he had run away with fear evident in his eyes. She was so surprised by their actions and that they had even bothered protecting her. She was deeply touched not used to this kind of affections. Even Jack had asked if everything was all right once they had returned home. She had said yes and fled to her room clearly embarrassed. Perhaps for others her embarrassment could be seen as coldness. The thing was werewolves strength came from their unity and witches strength came from their own independent magic. The keyword was indecency. Witches rarely paired up unlike what has been written in books and movies. They saw each other always as competition and were sometimes happy when someone got attacked. Then they were not competition anymore. They would never intervene and were known as cold beings. The family bond was not strong either. Friendship were sometimes stronger than the family bond due to many reasons. Everyone wanted to have strong children and the weaker once were sent to schools far away from their disappointed parents. Parents did not hid their disappointed and were very vocal about it. She was neither, I guess. But that was a story to be told at a later time.
