The Muses: Titans Return

Chapter 7

A few days later the Olympus Generals are called to Deimos' office. I was sitting on the couch curled up with a blanket and looking at papers from the household and trying to get things we need ordered including medical supplies for before the fighting. The office door slams open and Ares comes in a mad and when he sees I'm sitting there his eyes get a little wide.

"Anastasia! I'm sorry I didn't realize you were here." Ares says getting a little red embarrassed and rubs the back of his neck.

"Ares gets mad? Nooo, not the God of War, Violence, Bloodshed, Bloodlust, Murder and Conflict!" I say faking my surprise. "I am married to your son, do you think the God of Terror is all rainbows and sunshines?" I finish with a chuckle. I look back at my papers and jot a small note down that I need to order more bandages.

"Deimos was always good at controlling his anger in front of others. Surprises me that his façade breaks." Ares says shocked walking to a chair in front of me. "Where does Deimos keep a map of the island."

There's a small twinkle in my eye and I give a small chuckle, "You think we have just a normal map?" Ares gives me a confused look as I get up and walk to Deimos' desk and I push a button. Suddenly a small portion of the ceiling starts to drop stopping right at the desk's height looking like it's part of the desk. Ares' eyes get a little wide as he looks at a perfect replica of the island, terrain and all.

Ares walks around the diorama with a big smile on his face, "Who? How?" Was all he could say as almost speechless. It's glad to see I can render a God speechless.

"When your pregnant and your husband wont let you do literally ANYTHING you find ways to pass the time." I smile. This only took me 4 months to complete but Deimos wouldn't let me go anywhere without either him or Bo around so I sat here one day while Deimos was looking at a map of the island muttering how he wished he could see how the terrain is in certain areas so I built him a way to see that.

"You made this?!" Ares asks shocked, "I didn't realize my daughter in law was the daughter of Athena." I chuckle at that as Hades, Zeus, Deimos and Phobos walk in.

"If your gonna have a meeting I can step out." I say grabbing my papers. Zeus gives me a look almost like he wanted me to leave. Ares looks at me like I am now his favorite child. Deimos gives me a small kiss on my forehead as he walked to his desk.

"Mystis wanted to talk to you about the rooming situation and about the kitchen staff?" Deimos questions grabbing a folder with the weapon inventory and hands it to me, "Also can you take this to my Mother's husband, Hephaestus. He needs to know what needs to be made."

I roll my eyes at the comment about Mystis. She always has issues with the kitchen staff. Some of the younger kids think they don't have to listen because she is a Naiad Nymph. I grab the folder and nod before I give him a kiss before walking towards the door.

"Anya. Can you meet with me in two hours. outside?" Hades asks before I left the room.

"Oh, yeah. Two hours?" He nods and I shut the door as I walked out heading towards the kitchen to deal with entitled children.

After two hours I smiled as I stepped outside and took a deep breath in. As I exhaled my dragon wings spring out stretching. "That still shocks me every time I see you do it." Hades says walking out the door chuckling.

I jump and retract my wings. "Sorry, Saphira needed to stretch something. You wanted to talk?" I ask as he walks towards a field motioning me to follow him. I follow him confused as to why he wants to have a talk.

"As you are aware you were young when I left your mom," Hades starts to say. I get a little confused at this because we agreed a long time ago not to talk about them, "I didn't know if I was going to be able to see you or talk to you and I wanted to make sure you were protected, so I made Cerberus." I look at him confused as he stops walking.

"Is that why he was always so nice to me but mean to everyone else?" I ask remembering a time I went to visit my dad during a wolf celebration at the Red Crescent Pack and Cerberus was cuddling with me on the couch, I was roughly eight years old when Zagreus walked in and tried taking the tv remote from me and Cerberus had bit him.

"That is why he likes you and is extremely protective of you. When he got hurt I realized that he shouldn't have stayed with me. When you turned 18 you should have had him." Suddenly I hear a rustle in the tree line in front of me and when I look up a three-headed dog the size of a Dire Wolf comes running out of the woods. I gasp, last time I saw him was when I was given Hades Ember. I run up and hug him as his middle head rubs against the side of my head and the other two lick the my face, or try too.

I laugh squirming. Cerberus gives an excited yip and rolls to the ground yipping. I go to rub his belly and I see an angry red line down his stomach. I lightly trace the scar and I narrow my eyes. I look up at Hades who is also glaring towards the scar.

"When do you think the Titans are going to attack again? Have you guys found them?" I ask petting Cerberus as he laid on his side next to me. Hades looks up at the tree line as our scout team from the South Tower runs into the clearing. Notus, God of the South Wind, Orion, The Huntsman; Son of Poseidon, Elena, a Demi-Goddess; Daughter of Ares, and her half brother Nikolas, a Demi-God; Son of Ares.

"South side!!! They are camping on the South Side cliffs!!" Nikolas says when he runs up to me. Orion followed quickly behind him.

"We saw a camp but it was almost like an army of people. Alot more than four Titans." Orion says securing his bow to his back. Cerberus jumps at attention and crouches growling at the large amount of people surrounding me suddenly.
