Chapter 8 : Living as werewolves

Before we departed to earth we were given all the information we needed.

We got registered into a school for werewolves and an apartment was prepared for us.

All the weapons and accessories we'll be needing for this mission was already in the house.

All we need to do now is just to pack our stuffs and memorize our cover stories so we wont be caught unawares and so we won't blow our covers.

Although I was super excited about our mission,, I tried my best to remain calm and finish my preparation on time so we can depart to earth as soon as possible.

As the leader of the elite team I was given clear instructions on how to go about this operation.

Soon enough we made our way to the chambers. My father was there to grant us passage through the portal.

I was amazed when he called me aside and talked to me in a way he has never spoken to me before.

King Arthur : You do realise that you're the leader of the newly formed elite team and not just that,,you're also a princess and the next queen of Nexus.

Bella : Yes father. I know all that.

King Arthur : This is a great opportunity to prove your loyalty and devotion to your people. Show us that you are worthy of the throne of Nexus.

Bella : I won't disappoint you father.

King Arthur : You better not. Now go

I quickly left his side and went to join my team who stood at the portal waiting for me. This is the longest conversation I've had with my father for as long as I can remember. I turned and looked at my father again. I was wondering if he has suddenly started caring about me.

But when I turned to look at him I noticed that he wasn't looking at me. He was actually staring at my best friend Jessica. I sincerely hope Jess has not done anything or said something to get her on his bad side because the consequences will be very disastrous.

Good luck team Lord Harry said to us. Remember your trainings and always obey your team leader he said while giving Queenie a knowing look and she looks away immediately. Listen and obey every instruction given to you by your superiors he continues and most importantly,, No love affairs. Understood??

Yes Lord Harry we all replied.

Then we got to the portal and traveled down to earth.

Once we arrived on earth we decided to shift to our wolf form and run all the way to our apartment.

Our apartment is surrounded by a deep forest so we won't be seen by anyone except other werewolves because we are in their territory.

As we ran,, we masked our smell as changelings and adapted to our surroundings so our smell can change completely.

We ran for almost an hour before we finally arrived at our apartment.

WOW

Say what you want about my father but the man sure have a great taste.

Our apartment is very adorable. It gave off the feeling of comfort and wealth. Am sure everyone will admire and respect us because they'll believe we came from a very rich pack.

We went in and I used my security card to open the door.

Bella : Everyone will find their very own security card and other necessities in their rooms. Keep it with you at all times.

Yes boss replied Andrew while giving me a fake salute.

Jess and the others laughed at his joke while Queenie hissed angrily at us all.

She's not my boss said Queenie.

Neither is she my boss added Brian her brother.

I ignored them all and went upstairs to our operation room.

Only I have the key card to the operation room.

I went in to activate all our computers and give a detailed report of our arrival to our superiors. Its part of my job as team leader to report every details back home.

I turned on the screen and just as expected, Lord Harry was already waiting for our report.

Lord Harry : Status report.

Bella : We just arrived at our apartment and we've successfully masked our smell and adapted to our environment. Tomorrow we will attend school with other packs and begin socialising with them just as we were instructed.

Lord Harry : Good. Carry on.

Thank you Lord Harry.

After giving my report I went to meet the others. They were exploring our apartment so I joined them.

We went round the house and everything in it is quite beautiful.

Our rooms were nicely decorated and we had exotic cars in our garage.

We have a two bedroom apartment at the back for our domestic staff. Yes we were given domestic staff's. Two changelings that fell under domestic staff's were sent with us to help out.

All in all everything seems perfect and our mission is looking good already. Am already loving it here.

Unknown pov

Finally the kings daughter has been given a mission on earth. Finally our plans will be set in motion. I was beginning to think it'll never happen because the king suspects her already. He even killed his mate because he thought she possessed part of the white wizard's life force. But it has always been in Isabella. And now she's here on earth. She managed to survive in Nexus despite her father's hatred and she's even the leader of the elite team which simply means that she's brave and strong.

For years now I have waited patiently for this very moment. All my spies in Nexus are always discovered by king Arthur. I don't know how he does it but he seems stronger now.

But I did not fail my master. I've kept my promise and I've watched over his son.

Although the young man did not believe me when I told him I was his guardian. He even threatened to report me to the police. Quite Hilarious honestly. He believes am after his money.

If only he knows all I did to make his business successful. If only he knows I've never left him alone. I've been by his side ever since he was sent to the orphanage.

But he doesn't even know who he his and his fairy powers are dormant.

Now that the princess is here on earth I have to do everything possible to get them to meet physically.

Over the years I was able to put together a big organisation called La Verdad.

I formed La Verdad so that when my masters son regains his powers he can expose the evil deeds of king Arthur and bring justice for his family.

Over the years our numbers multiplied. We never committed any of those crimes we were accused of. We just added some noticable evidence in a crime scene to make it look like we did it. But we are truly innocent.

We simply wanted to draw out the changelings.

We wanted them to come after us.

I've always known that this day will finally come when our plans will yield the needed results.

Finally the time has come. Isabella is now on earth and soon enough the bond she shares with Adrian will activate his true powers and her true strength too will show.

I only need to figure out a way for their paths to cross just once.... Then the bond will pull them together.

It's their fate and they can't escape it.

Isabella POV

I woke up early so we can go for a run before we prepare and leave for school. We need to strengthen our bond as a team.

Our goal for now is to blend in and socialize.

We're needed to gather information and the best way to do that is by making friends and partying with other packs members.

Since our cover story says that we are from the richest and strongest pack from the neighbouring town that just got transferred to this school, we had to live up to our reputation.

Everything we use must be customized and branded for the rich.

So we went to school in our exotic cars and we wore designer clothes, shoes and bags.

As soon as we drove into the gate,, we attracted the eyes of everyone because we went in four custom Toyota solara convertible.

The four cars drove in together and parked close to each other.

We had our earphones on so we can use it to communicate with each other since we aren't really werewolves and we can't mind link each other like a real pack of werewolves.

Bella : Ok guys. Remember the mission is to gather information. Dont get carried away. We aren't really werewolves,,,we're changelings.

Now let's do this I said to them all and I know they all heard me through their earphones.

We stepped out and went to our different departments.

After our classes in the morning we met at the cafeteria for lunch and also to discuss our progress and the next course of action.

Andrew : There's a party tonight. Beta Jake told me about it but I was not able to get us invites.

Queenie : I heard about it too but I couldn't get any invites as well because the invites can only be gotten from pack Alphas.

Brian : Everyone will be there and we can get all the information we need when they are drunk.

Jefferson : Too bad we can't get too close to Alphas because they can sniff out our true smell.

Jess : What if we crash the party??

Bella : Am already on it. We'll use our fairy abilities to teleport ourselves into the venue.

Leo : If we teleport ourselves in, we won't have the energy to do what we came for.

We aren't real fairies so most of their abilities drains us completely.

Bella : That's why we would arrive earlier than everyone else. We would teleport ourselves there hours before the others start coming so we can have time to rest and regain our strength.

Andrew : So how are we going to get them all drunk because as far as I know, all sups don't get drunk easily.

Brian : That's right. We'll need to spike their drinks and I happen to know the exact stuff we'll use that will knock them out.

Bella : We don't want them out completely. we still need to get information from them remember??

Brian wanted to question me for refusing his idea but his sister stopped him.

Queenie : Bella is right. we don't want them out completely because we still need to get them talking and spilling all they know about La Verdad.

Jess : Besides we can't spike everyone's drink at the same time you know. We need to target those that are in the position to carry the right information like the Alphas and betas or their mate's.

Leo : So where do we get the right potion to use that won't hurt anyone??

Brian : Have I suddenly turned invisible?? I just said I'll get the potion. Some of the guys I met in school today talked about a white fairy witch that sells those stuff that can make sups high.

I'll go with them later today and I'll steal some from her shelf.

Hearing him say he'd steal a potion from the shelf of a white witch just hit me like deja vu. My father also stole from a white wizard and look where it brought us.

Bella : You don't need to steal anything Brian. Just get the location and we can send one of the domestic staff's to go and get it.

Brian : Yes boss. Anything you say.

We were still throwing suggestions here and there when Cleo suddenly stands up sniffing the air like a dog and smiling crazily.

Jefferson : What's happening to her??

Andrew : Maybe the cafeterias cook is preparing her favourite dish.

Jess : Cleo what's wrong with you??

Cleo : MATE

Bella : What the hell are you talking about?? You're not a real wolf and you can't have a mate here.

I turned and looked at the other direction and I saw Beta Richard of the full moon pack sniffing the air also.

I knew immediately that he's trying to trace Cleo smell.

I pulled her down immediately and told the others to surround us so they can cover us with their own smell while Jess and I hold her down and hastily ran out of the cafeteria and snuck out of the school premises leaving our cars behind so we don't draw too much attention to ourselves.

This is so weird.

What kind of sick joke is this??

How can Cleo find her mate among werewolves when we were told that we can only mate with our kind.
