Hayes POV
I hated the fact that she felt she had nobody to protect her. She claims to be strong, but I know otherwise.
She is hurt. But she does not want to accept it.
“You don't have to worry Bianca, I will handle all this and nobody would even think of coming for you. You just have to trust me.” I said, trying to comfort her.
“For how long will I be protected under your umbrella Hayes? You seem to forget that we are under a contract. A contract that has a termination date.”
I wanted to reassure her that I was never going to stop protecting her. But I was unsure on how to say the words without sounding like I plan to keep her with me forever.
