Elvanya’s Pov It had been three long, terrifying days since the blood incident in the Council Chamber. The memory of Kael’s roaring voice and the red light in his eyes still made me shake with fear. I knew my accidental cut had triggered something primal and dangerous in the King. I was lucky to be alive and not claimed or killed by his sudden, uncontrolled rage. Kael had been avoiding me completely for those three days. I was only allowed to clean the outer rooms of his private chambers.
