Kael's POV
I stood at the head of the table in my private study and looked at the four people I trusted most in this world. Eldric sat with his hands folded and his golden eyes calm like always.
Lira was next to him and she kept glancing at the door like she expected someone to burst in. The two generals Marcus and Dane sat across from each other with their arms crossed.
The sun wasn't even up yet but I needed this meeting now before the whole palace woke up and started asking questions about why Elvanya was living in my private wing.
"Thank you for coming on such short notice." I said and locked the door behind me. "What I'm about to tell you cannot leave this room. Eldric has placed wards around us so no one can hear what we say."
