Sanjana's POV:
"Sanju... Beta!! " Kaveri chachi called out.
"Coming chachi!! " I said and ran up the stairs picking my lehenga almost to my knees...
It's Di and Arnav's marriage today. And I'm in charge for the decorations!!
"Yes chachi.. " I said panting.
"Beta the decorators— " I cut her off.
"Chachi, I told the decorators to put up di and Arnav's favorite white and purple orchids, the catering department is also under control.. I tasted the food and trust me it tastes better than Master Chef's food. The lighting is ready. I have uploaded the CD into the drive, for the disco dance session and I also saw the sitting arrangements, everything is perfect. " I said in one breath...
"What would I have done without you? " chachi said and I knew what was coming next... an emotional session.
"Nothing. " I said and she smacked my head. I laughed and headed downstairs to check on the decorations.
"Beta, everything is done na? " mom asked.
"Haan maa everything is perfectly done!! I'll go get di... " I said with a smile and headed for di's room.
I knocked on the door lightly. The door was unlocked. I opened it and saw no in there. She'll probably be in the washroom.
"Di!! " I called out but no reply.
She wasn't even even in the washroom. Where can she be? My eyes fell on a page which was flying. I picked it up and read it. My eyes widened as a lone tear escaped my eyes. I ran outside and went up to dad. As he was nearby.
"Dad!? " I called out.
"Oh here you are.. where is Ranjana? " he asked all smiling. I couldn't say anything. I just forwarded the paper in his hands. He took it and started reading.
Dear Sanju,
I can't... I can't marry Arnav. I'm sorry but I need to go. I got a call from Cambridge, they took me in for the degree of fashion designing. I can't settle down now. I can't have a family now... I need to live my life, my career.. I'll be back soon but I can't marry Arnav.

Dad collapsed on the ground reading it and everyone gathered around us. He just had his first heart attack.
"DAD!!! " I yelled seeing his condition.
"S-sanju y-you love me r-right? " dad asked out of the blue and I nodded, rubbing his chest.
"Th-then ma-marry Arnav. " I froze at his words... What!?
"But dad— " he cut me off.
"Pl-please beta, to-today my di-di-dignity is-is in your hands... " he said and I continued rubbing his chest.
In a few moments he became normal. He looked at me almost pleading and I nodded my head slowly. He gave me a sad smile and called the Raichands. I was blank now. I was taken into di's room. I changed and my dressing up was done.
Soon, I was sitting on the pavilion, I saw Arnav. He was sitting there with his jaws clenched and hands fisted. He tied the mangalsutra around my neck and filled my hairline with vermilion. A lone tear fell from my eyes on my palm.
The next thing I knew was sitting on a large bed, which belonged to Arnav. I was sitting there alone with millons of thoughts... when the door lock clicked and my heartbeat increased..
"So, how does it feel to take your sister's place? " he asked and I shot at him.
He slapped me and I turned to him in shock when he caught me by my throat and threw me on the ground. As soon as I fell against the floor, he caught my arm and pulled me up... pinning me to the wall. He held my hands over my head with great force. I cried out in pain...
"SHUT UP!! " he yelled and I bit my tongue trying not to cry.
"Because of you Ranjana left me!! Because of you!!? Don't ever think you can take her place, just because you look like her.. you came here thinking you'll be loved and cared! Forget it, the next thing you will be doing is begging me to leave you.. I promise you Ms. Sanjana Kapoor, you will pay for is, you will beg me to let you go, you will experience hell!!! " he said and left me wrist standing a foot away from me.
I caught my wrist in pain. It was bleeding buckets. I looked at him with teary eyes.
"A-Arnav at-at least- " he cut me off by slapping me. I cried out.
"Shut up I said!! " he yelled and I pressed my lips together.
He walked two steps back and smirked at me. I stood there, trying not to break down.
"Now strip... " my eyes widened at his words..
