The sun was already high in the sky when Brian came into the bedroom.
“Rise and shine Sleeping Beauties…” He used a teaspoon to clang against the side of a cup.
“Oh no, must you do that?” Anna groaned.
“I am afraid so… it is just past nine and Lowe just called Blair to tell him that he is on his way here. Come on, I brought you some breakfast.”
“Ugh, I feel like I had been hit by a train…” Jacqui pushed herself up in bed.
Brian had brought them tea and toast with marmalade.
“I thought you said you were a good cook…”
“Somebody will have to go buy us some food before I can make anything.”
“Perhaps Lowe will let me go to a*****e and get some things…”
