Meeting Part – 02

Third Person Elizabeth was pacing here and there in her room. In one hand she was calling someone, with the other hand she was running her hand through her hair. It looked like no one was picking up from the other side. It really pissed off Elizabeth. She called once more and this time it got cut from the other line. She called another time and she cut the call again. Elizabeth looked at the phone in disbelief. She was surprised that someone was cutting her call. That someone like can cut her call. In anger, she raised her hand and almost smacked her phone, but suddenly a call came up on it. Her hand stopped in the air as the calling voice echoed in the room. She pulled the phone in front of her and saw the call's name. b***h doesn't know how to respect. The name flashes on the phone. It was her. Her grip tightened on the phone. She hit the answer at the same time as she lit the cigarette. She put the phone in her ear and lit a cigarette between her lips. Then she inhaled it in her lungs and, pulling the cigarette from her mouth, she puffed in the air and again inhaled the air. Elizabeth liked to do it; from her perspective, this was the best way to smoke. "Hello?" A girl spoke from another line with a lazy manner. Elizabeth again pulls out the cigarette from her mouth. "Why weren't you picking up?" Elizabeth asked, from her now sitting in front of her dressing table mirror. She put her left leg on her right leg. The girl sighed. "I was busy." She gave an excuse, but Elizabeth knew that wasn't true. Elizabeth pulls the phone away from her ear. She smirked, but it wasn't pleasant. She put the phone back on her ear. "Look, I don't care if you were busy or not. You have to pick mine and Sana call no matter what." She said with gritted teeth. "OK." The girl said again in a lazy tone. Elizabeth closed her eyes tightly to not be angered by her, but she couldn't help it. Her attitude made her frustrated with herself. "Why did you call, by the way?" She asked. Elizabeth snapped open her eyes as she remembered something important. "Is it important?" "Yes, it is." She spoke. "Why did you do that?" she asked, anger in her tone. The other line went in silence for some minutes. Elizabeth had to check that she didn't make the call again. But then she heard her voice. "What did I do?" She said in an innocent tone. "You clearly know what the hell I am talking about?" Elizabeth shouted at her. The girl laughed loudly. She laughed so much that Elizabeth was now flushed with anger, but she remained calm. "So, you've got the news? Great." She responds. "Why did you attack Nicholas?" Elizabeth demanded from her. "Oh." The girl spoke in a surprised tone, "Suddenly the other woke up out of nowhere." She said in a mocking tone as she rocked in a rocking chair looking out of window to a mansion in front of her. "Why Elizabeth? You remembered that he is your son too." The girl spoke smirking at her. "Shut up." Elizabeth hissed. "Yeah, I attack him. I was bored, hurt, in love and most importantly jealous." She hissed the last part. "But they were alright, weren't they?" She didn't ask. Elizabeth closed her eyes. This girl was out of hand, she thought. "Listen to me carefully young woman." Elizabeth started in a very pissed tone, "I have already told you that you don't have to do anything. I would handle anything or Sana. You are just destroying our plan, nothing else, brat." She was really frustrated with her. "Language." The girl warns her, but she ignores her, but not her tone. "You don't have to do anything, just keep an eye on them." She was going to cut off but, remembered something. She put the phone in her ear again, "And next time, don't talk to me like that." Saying this she cut the call. The door opened and James went in. Elizabeth stood up and went towards her. She was wearing nightwear but was not in the mood to sleep. James put a hand in front of her while massaging her eyes. "Not now, Elizabeth. I am tired." He said and went into the closet, leaving angry Elizabeth behind. She was just standing there. ________________________________ "Sophia, why are you so pale?" Lily's voice snapped at her. She was sitting in the canteen. There were some students countable and them. Sophia looked at Lily's worried face. She smiled at her, but that was also weak. "I am fine, Lily." she said, grasping her hand. She jerked it. "Sophia, you have been saying this to me for a week now." Lily snapped at her. Sophia put her head between her hands, Lily sat beside her, putting her hand on her shoulder, "Why won't you tell me what happened? I know something happened. David told you something? James? Martin?" Lily kept pushing. "No one." Sophia's voice muffled. "Then?" Lily leans back on the chair, frustrated by her best friend. Sophia looked up at her with a soft smile. "Lily?" She called her, Lily hummed. Sophia sat properly and grabbed Lily's hand in hers. Lily looked at her, "I promise I will tell you everything." Sophia said. "When?" She put a hand on hers. Sophia looked down and then looked out of window where some kids were playing. "When the time is right," She said, and at that time, David and James arrived while talking loudly about some basketball game. They sat across from them and gave them their lunch. "I don't eat that." Lily made a face. Sophia and James looked at her puzzled. David just kept eating. "What don't you eat? It's everything that we eat daily." David remarked, not looking at her. "I don't eat pork." She said and everybody stopped what they were doing. All three of them forgot that she doesn't pork. James also did not eat it, but David forced him. Both of the boys looked at each other rather than at Sophia, who just shrugged and shook her head. Lily stood up and walked away from them. Sophia, James and David watched her as she was going out but stumbled on someone. James was going to get up but the person saved her already. Sophia got tense. Sana pulled Lily up and asked if she was alright. Lily nodded and while talking to them she walked away. She didn't even look in their way. James was still in a get-up position but sat down slowly. They had all just looked at the food. No one was eating it. David even stopped eating. "It's all because of me," Sophia said suddenly. James and David snapped their heads towards her. Sophia didn't look at them and kept speaking, "I didn't want to tell anybody but you are all worried and Lily is not talking now." James sat beside her and stroked her hair. David attaches his feet to hers. "What happened, Sophia?" James asked, getting her hands in his. Sophia sobbed and both of them flinched. Sophia never cried, she was the smartest, most mature and held-back kid. And now she was crying in front of them. "Sophia?" James called her softly. "What is it? You are scaring us." He spoke. James was like a brother to her. When something happens, she always tells James first so he can get a solution. But how can the dumbest person find the solution? She just told him because she felt really light telling him everything. She even first told him how she felt about David. He was just looking at her surprised, then he told her about Lily and him and both of them jumped hand in hand. And now he was really shocked and hurt that she didn't tell him what kept bugging her or the problem. "I-I Have," She stopped in between. Now she was sitting between both boys. David was stroking her hair and James her hands. "I have a brain tumor." Everything stopped. James' hands breathed, David breathed and Sophia may have thought the air she breathed too. They were all sitting like this was someone's funeral and it was important to sit quietly.
