Shameless

Fel’s Point-of-view Do you know the unfamiliar-familiar feeling when you meet someone from your past? That- that feeling gushed into my spine when I saw Ace. It is as if my past has been brought back to me. Nostalgic yet traumatic. I don’t know why he is here with me right now, or how he finds me, but one thing is for sure. He needs something. After the heartfelt scene I had with Ace, the class continued to showcase their very own abilities, not until a student intentionally dropped his heavy back onto the ground, making a loud thud that caught everyone’s attention. It was the guy with the flannel from earlier. Oh, so he is a first-year student as well, huh? “Good day, Your Highness. Are you enjoying the school’s ambiance?” Professor Trevor asked with a nervous smile written all over his face. His movement is as if he saw a ghost. Who is this guy? He then shrugged his shoulders and continued to sit on the grass beside me. Yes- of all the spaces available in this area- he chose to sit there next to me and Ace. Nami and Alex, on the other hand, are away from us, with their suspicious looks. At this point, I am sure that we are already thinking of the same thing. Sean’s Point-of-view As Gio continued to brag about his non-existent strength, here I am- staring at the love of my life. Fel. I was so stupid to be blinded by fame and chose to be with that crazy-named flower, Rose. She made me believe that everything can be mine when everyone’s eyes are on me, but it was all a lie. All I had were those pairs of judgmental eyes who were ready to pull me down my throne once I made a wrong move. “Dude! you won’t believe what I’m going to tell you,” Gio exclaimed like a child. “I think Anne likes me.” He added. I was dumbfounded by what he said because I already warned him about these girls, but then- he never really listened. “Well, how can I blame her, right? She has got everything she’ll ever need with me. The looks, the power, and the fame” he said like a maniac. What a narcissistic little guy. I don’t even know why I am still friends with him either. I just nodded and returned my gaze towards Fel who is now seated beside two new guys. “Who are they?” I asked Gio. He then winked teasingly and said “Maybe Fel’s new guys?” tsk. What do I expect from someone like Gio, right? Guess I needed to know them by myself then. Haru’s Point-of-view As I made myself comfortable with this blonde girl beside me, I felt some gaze from across the circle. It is from a couple that seems to be observing me and the guy next to this girl beside me. I think I made the wrong decision about picking this space up, but I prefer the air and the view from this spot, so I’ll just shrug it all off for now. “Sorry about that,” she said while holding up a peace sign. Childish and annoying. But then, she froze when she felt a shock that ran into her body. I felt it too. It is as if a strong force of fiction struck us causing this kind of impact. “Stop being clumsy,” I replied to divert her attention. She seemed to be awakened by what had happened and said “I'm Fel, and you?” I was taken aback by her words, not because she asked me who I was, but because I realized who am I? How am I supposed to introduce myself? In the midst of an open field where the soft breeze played with the leaves of surrounding trees, Fel accidentally bumped into the guy seated next to her in their outdoor class. The collision brought a momentary pause to the lecture, and she turned towards him, a quick apology escaping her lips as she tried to suppress the embarrassment coloring her cheeks. "Sorry about that," Fel said, offering a friendly smile and a peace sign. The guy glanced at her, a hint of surprise flickering in his eyes before he responded with a warning. Undeterred by the interruption, Fel decided to break the ice amid the rustling of leaves and the distant sounds of nature. "I'm Fel," she introduced herself, hoping to infuse a bit of warmth into the outdoor setting. However, the guy's response was guarded. His gaze wandered momentarily, and he reached for his backpack, pulling out a pair of earphones. Not one to easily back down, Fel leaned in a bit closer, attempting to bridge the gap. "And you?" she asked, projecting her voice over the open field. The guy met her gaze briefly but opted to plug in the earphones, creating a barrier that suggested a preference for solitude in the outdoor classroom. Determined to unravel the mystery, Fel persisted with a playful tone. "Come on, spill the beans. What's your name?" she inquired, the lightheartedness of her words blending with the natural soundtrack of the field. Yet, her efforts were met with a quiet retreat into the world of his chosen playlist. With a shrug and a wistful smile, Fel redirected her attention to the lesson unfolding under the open sky, the sway of the grass and the distant chirping of birds becoming a backdrop to her musings about the silent classmate who seemed content to let the wind carry away any chance of conversation. Intrigued, Fel glances one last time and mutters, “Shameless.”
