Waiting for Liora to return felt like a lifetime. Shaun had already shown me the training grounds, and while that had been rather educational, my attention was elsewhere. I was worried about Liora. Shaun eventually gave up, and we returned to his office to wait for Liora’s return. It wasn’t a fun time, and I hated being around Shaun. However, I did learn that Shaun loved and adored his daughter. That made me respect him just a little bit.
“Finally,” I whispered when Liora finally walked into Shaun’s office. The man himself breathed out in relief.
