TWO DAYS LATER
Mike has been avoiding me since he came back from wherever. I've decided to stay at Dianne's until Mom returns, as I can't be at Mike's if he's ignoring me.
Archer and Lily are leaving today, and I won’t see them until summer and then at University this fall. I just hope Lily doesn’t apply to Yale.
"Time to get up, Vanessa! We have a party tonight and need outfits," Dianne calls.
"It's spring break! I want to sleep in," I groan.
"And I need to see Ty before he goes fishing this afternoon; he’ll be at the party," she squeals, jumping on my bed.
"Whose party is it?" I ask, opening the door.
"Parker's. He's throwing one to make up for cutting our vacation short," she explains.
