Meeting Friends

While the men built onto the house, Madison enjoyed her time out in the garden and talking with the other females of the village.  She learned how to irrigate the garden, to make pants, and a dress for herself. The most useful aspect of this time was when the chief gifted her a spinning wheel and spindle to make wool and cotton thread. With the gift, her mates went out and caught sheep to shear which Madison shared with the chief as thanks for the gift.

The women were so giving with their instructions. Amber, a female close to her age, was unwelcoming after she mated with Kaden since she had been asking him to be her mate since she came of age. Amber was more lenient now that her pregnancy was showing with a minute bump, she was very gracious and kind. As such Madison felt she found a friend in the loud but honest girl.

Madison learned that Amber was a descendant from the visitors from the past and had  six male mates and one female mate. Amber also told her that since Madison came to the village, she was sexually active with all her mates-and even tried sleeping with two at a time! This was said with a satisfied blush on her face. The other women spoke up as well-talking about how much their family had improved. The females were bold enough to mention how their smells mingled between the mates now instead of one on one and how much the smell made their mouths water. Madison determined that no matter what world you lived on, women would always talk about their s*x and home life together.

Madison also learned that this was Amber's first pregnancy and that she drank an herb with her tea to stop her from coming into heat until she was ready. This tidbit was vitally important to Madison and soon found out where to get the herb and how to brew it! In order to get the right herbs Madison decided to go to the village doctor.

Madison knocked on the doctor's door when a spectacled bear opened it. Madison jumped back in surprise. As the doctor transformed he found a thin skirt to put on-he was the only single male that would wear clothes so that the female mates would not harm him and they would feel comfortable. Besides, the old bachelor liked his life, he didn't need a mate he told himself.

"Welcome, I'm Andy, what can I help you with today?" he inquired.

"Good afternoon, I'm Madison. I was hoping to get some herbs from you" Madison said as she walked into his home. The house was much bigger than she first assumed with woven baskets full of herbs and windows with wooden planters with more herbs growing. The house smelled like nature. Coming from the city, Madison didn't know what any of these herbs were.

"I do have herbs," he chuckled, "what ails you?"

"Oh, I'm not sick, Amber was telling me about herbs she drank so that she could control when she got pregnant and I was hoping to learn what herbs they are and how to brew them" Madison finally walked over to a stool and sat down on it.

Andy grabbed her wrist and listened for her pulse knowing that she had a high chance of already being pregnant, the whole village heard them mating during her heat.  His eyes crunched up and his gentle face began to smile. "I hear your strong and healthy heartbeat, you are indeed in good health, and I hear two faint heartbeats, you are pregnant with two..."here he paused not knowing if she had chosen Taylor or Kaden, she would either have cubs or hatchlings..."well, depends on who the father is, but two shows they are males. Congratulations. I have some herbs for you to drink in the morning for vitality and health, it will help the little ones develop." The next part of what Andy had to say caused his neck and face to turn red as he plowed on with his speech, "and, uh, when, uh, you feel, uh...when you feel...hmm hmm. If your body begins to crave your mate you need to consummate, this will help your pregnancy and delivery. If you crave any foods you must eat them as this is a sign that your body is lacking something for the babes and if you have any concerns you can come and find me." Andy finally got everything he needed to say out and looked over at Madison. She was sitting on the stool with a dazed look and a soft smirk on her lips.

Madison left the doctors house with a basket full of fresh and dried herbs and directions on how to make it. She unintentionally held her stomach with her other hand as she stared at the ground and made her way home. Her thoughts were jumbled but happy, even though she didn't know if it was Taylor or Kaden that was the father. She couldn't wait to tell her husbands.

She needed more information about pregnancies, they didn't have hospitals here and she didn't think to ask the doctor. Madison decided to go ask the women and Amber instead of going directly home.

The women were excited to hear her news and began to tell her all about their pregnancies. Amber and Madison listened to them with their complete focus, not missing anything. Madison learned that she would be pregnant for six months and that males would be born in their beast form and very small. When pregnant with a female, she would be the sole child born and would be a bit bigger. Since Andy heard two heartbeats she could look forward to either romping jaguar cubs or frisky phoenix hatchlings. Madison walked home with her heart full, brain overwhelmed, and her hand still attached to her nonexistent baby bump.

When Madison arrived home the men were working outside-she was too anxious to wait and blurted out her pregnancy news to all three mates. The men looked at each other with and then at Madison with huge grins on their faces. Madison found herself wrapped in their sweaty arms surrounded in their pheromones. The smell had her sniffing them in pleasure.

They told her that if they were phoenix babies Kaden would be the primary caretaker because they needed special heat that only a grown phoenix could provide. She would still be able to feed them and hold them, but Kaden would ensure that their flames did not go out. If they were jaguar cubs she and Taylor would share in raising them, but Taylor would be the one to teach them how to hunt and survive. Amon listened to their conversation, but did not mention anything about demon spawns since they had only been mates for two weeks and she was five weeks pregnant. He wanted more than anything for her to give birth for him, but was too scared that their large babies would be too hard for her body-so he kept quiet but determined to love her children as if they were his own.

Madison wondered if the babies would look more like her or her husbands, then giggled, of course since they would be born as beasts they would look like their dad first! She wanted to see their offspring and vowed to create a life with each of her husbands. She went into counseling because she loved children, therefore she would love her own even more.
