The Final Step
This time, the internal battle did not cause Madison to pass out. Instead, the pain was so severe that she was unable to. She felt flames engulf her organs, beginning from her heart, then her lungs, kidneys and down until it reached her intestines, then it moved back up, but the heat was greater, more akin to lava until it once again reached her heart. From there the pumping cooled the bloody lava, spreading it throughout her body, calcifying her bones, making them stronger, unbreakable. Madison felt her bones restructuring, becoming both flexible and hard, both black and white. Weak but stronger than any ever witnessed before. Once the heat was extinguished it was as if ice encased her from the inside out. The sweat that coated her flesh now added to the cold as it physically froze upon
