Beep Beep Beep
All I can hear is an annoying beeping sound that is making my headache worse than it already is. I feel like I’ve been hit by a ton of bricks. I don’t know if I should try to wake up fully or just fall back to sleep. Where am I anyway? What happened to me? I have no idea what is going on. I guess I better open my eyes and figure out where I am.
I try to open my eyes, but the light is so bright it hurts. I wince in pain and turn my head a bit. “Charlotte?” a man’s voice asks.
“Lights…too bright,” I manage to mumble.
“Oh sorry! Let me turn the lights off,” the man says again.
The lights are turned off and I slowly open my eyes. “Water,” I croak.
