Waking up on my wedding day, I could feel the excitement in the air. Charlotte was stirring beside me and just watching her sleep so peacefully was heaven. Her bandages were all off and her facial bruising was light enough that makeup would cover it. The swelling had gone completely down a few days ago. “Wake up my beautiful almost wife,” I said to her.
