A few minutes later her family enters my office. Charlotte’s face turns crimson red. Her grandmother’s face also blushes. “Charlotte dear, what are you doing?” Charlotte looks at me and I nod to let her know it is her place to tell them anything. She clenches her jaw and with a glare says, “I am learning to respect my future husband.”
Her uncle Lorenzo starts laughing and her grandfather smirks. “I guess that’s one way to teach your woman how to behave.” Charlotte doesn’t find this amusing and instead she turns her glare to me.
