Chapter 21
I became aware of Auri’s voice, “come on Emma, I need your help getting this baby born.” I opened my eyes and looked around, seeing I was in a bedroom, and then focused on Auri. “Oh I don’t know, you’ve done this often enough you can do it with your eyes shut probably.” Auri chuckled softly, “if I was the one having the baby, we’d be fine, but I’m not. This is YOUR kid.” I opened my mouth to retort, but clamped it down again on a scream as another contraction hit. She helped me get undressed and that’s how it went. She’d make a smart ass remark and tell me to push, I’d retort back as I could and push. After hours, one more push and me screaming, our baby was born. I watched Auri cut the cord and then take the baby and clean her up, wrapping her in a blanket and passed her to me. S
