Chapter 2 [Maddox] He’s too close and he’s not wearing anything. He’s not even bothering to cover up. I blinked up at him, still crouched on the floor of his wardrobe. He stood tall and big in all his glory. He stepped closer, like he wasn’t close enough. His scent clouded me — sweat, arousal, that damn cologne. His eyes raked over me, amused. “I read every issue,” he continued, voice low. “Your stuff’s good. Really good. But…” He reached out and hooked a finger under my chin, tilting my face up. I couldn’t breathe. “Those positions you describe? The way the bodies move? It’s obvious you’ve never actually done them. They feel… fake.” “Want me to teach you?” he murmured. “The real techniques. That way, in your next chapter, readers won’t be complaining that the author’s obviously a virgin.” Heat flooded my face. Shame. Anger. Want. Everything. “I don’t need…” “Your latest chapter,” he cut me off, his thumb brushing my lower lip, “the part where the lead pins someone against the wall? The angle’s all wrong. The grip, the arch of the back, how the legs should wrap…” He leaned in, breath hot against my ear. “Come on. Let me show you. The real thing. Hands-on. That way, your next chapter won’t have readers calling you out for being a virgin.” My mouth opened, but no sound came out. Damian’s smile widened. Dangerous. Delicious. “Unless,” he added softly, “you don’t want to learn.” He moved back a bit, his eyes dark and lingering on my lips. “I need to get…” He didn’t wait for me to finish. He pulled me out with his big hand wrapped firmly around my wrist and slammed me down on his bed. I gasped, my heart threatening to burst out of my chest. “What are you doing?” I managed above a whisper. He brought his face close to mine. Damn, his breath was intoxicating. Then he smiled like he knew he had me and leaned close to my ear. “In case you are doubting my ability to teach you the stuff that happens in the bedroom…” He took my earlobe in his mouth and my breath shuddered. “I’m sure you must have heard, I’m an expert. Ain’t that why you came snooping around my stuff?” His breath fanned my neck. I bit down hard on my lower lip because I did not trust myself not to make any weird sound. He sniffed my neck and planted a kiss on my collarbone. “What do you say, Yours Truly?” My hands clenched on my pants as I tried hard to form words, but I couldn’t. Not when he was kissing and licking my neck, sending all kinds of sensations I had never felt before through my entire body. He pulled back, scanned my face, then started leaning down little by little. God, please don’t let him kiss me. I don’t want my first kiss to be with a brat. Something hard pressed against my thigh. I looked down. His stupid, massive, annoying, beautiful d**k was only a few inches away from mine. “What do you want!” I blurted out, breathing heavily. He chuckled and lifted himself up, walking backwards. “That wasn’t so hard now, was it?” I gathered myself and sat up, ignoring the fact that I was still on his bed. “What do you want?” I asked again, more sternly this time. “I told you before. Let me teach you.” He smiled sheepishly. I don’t want it to seem like I’m looking, but it’s too much. “Can you put your pants on?” He pointed his index finger at me. “Did you just admit to looking at me just now?” I rolled my eyes. “It’s distracting and disturbing.” His hands flew to his mouth, his eyes wide. “Oh, did you just compliment me?” The f**k is wrong with this guy? He cleared his throat. “Sorry.” He picked up his pants and put them on with no stress, then turned back to me. His whole demeanor changed. “You don’t wanna lose your subscribers come next semester.” I don’t like him or any of this, but he’s the best option if I want to expand my knowledge, and that fact pisses me off. “If there’s one thing I’ve learnt, it’s that people like you don’t make offers without motives. What do you want?” He frowned like he didn’t like what I said, but then he smiled like he wasn’t frowning seconds ago. “It’s simple. I teach you and you let me be the first to read every issue. I also keep your identity hidden.” “How sure am I that you haven’t given me out?” I raised my brows and his frown deepened. “You ain’t been harassed. That’s very obvious. Believe it or not, I can keep a secret.” I scanned his face for any sign that he was lying, but I couldn’t. His mask was too strong to see through. “How do you even find out about me in the first place?” “Trust me, you wouldn’t want to know.” “And if I decline your offer?” “You won’t. It’s something you need.” I gritted my teeth. Of all the hot guys on campus, why did it have to be him? Of all the hot guys on campus, why choose him for your adventures? The voice in my head whispered. I pressed my lips together and stood up. “I have one condition.” He folded his arms, nodding for me to continue. “You are not allowed to touch me. Whatever you have to teach me has to be on paper.” He unfolded his arms and crowded my space. “That’s the whole point. It has to be physical so your readers feel the intimacy oozing through your pages.” “On paper,” I said through gritted teeth. “Physical.” “On paper.” “Physical.” “ON. PAPER.” “Fine!” He snapped, “we’ll start after the first week of next semester. Now get out.” I blinked up at him, “just like that?” He ignored me, grabbed my wrist, and pushed me outside, locking the door behind me with a heavy thud. This is going to be one hell of a ride.
