Denise was sitting in the main house's large living room, mindlessly scrolling through social media with her eyes glued to her phone. She was still determined not to engage with any of her mates, her frustration and confusion making her wary of their presence.
She was glued to her phone, attempting to block out any thought that would remind her of her predicament, when Kayden burst through the door, his arms full of grocery bags.
