Mother Encounter

Anna

I woke up to a knock on my front door and with Wolfe nudging me.

“Its too early for that.” I tell Wolfe putting my hand on his head. I slowly get up and go to the door looking through the glass I noticed several buff men in front of my door. I stood there for a moment wondering if I should open the door or not. Then, Wolfe nudges my hand. “Ok Wolfe.” I said and opened the door.

As soon as the door was open I was Immediately engulfed in a hug.

“Rosa! I can’t believe I finally found you!” the man who was hugging me said

I stiffened slightly as I am not used to physician affection. “You must be Alpha Black, the man who says he is my father.”

He let go of me and turned toward Wofle. “Thank you for watching over her, your highness.” Alpha Black said bowing slightly. “I should have known that you would find her first.”

“Ok, enough.” I said stepping away from Alpha Black and Wolfe quickly.

“I clearly do not understand anything that is going on here. First, everything with my mother. Then, an extraordinarily big wolf shows up. Next my house is shot up. Now, my father shows up bowing to a wolf. I believe this family reunion will have to be put on hold and wolfe it’s time for you to leave too. I’m moving today and can’t deal with any of this right now.” I say stepping further away. Then an alarm goes off from the kitchen.

“Rosa, I know this is hard to believe and a lot to take in but we can’t leave you.” Alpha Black said stepping toward me.

I turned to go to the kitchen to turn the alarm off so that my mother’s friends wouldn’t show up. Alpha Black grabbed my hand keeping me from reaching the alarm. I tried to pull free but couldn’t.

“Let go of me now! If I don’t get to that alarm and take the medicine my mother’s friends will show up and make me.” I shouted and started crying. The last time my mother’s friends showed up to make me take the medicine it was not fun. Wolfe went and sniffed the alarm and growled at it.

Alpha Black turned me to face him. “Rosa, that’s not medicine, its poison. Your mother didn’t tell you anything about your heritage?” he asked

“No, she refused.” I said shaking my head. “What do you mean by poison?”

“What is contained in that box is a poison that in high doses can kill us. In low doses it diminishes our health and strength. If it goes on long enough, it can cause permanent damage.” Alpha Black explained and the wolf whined.

“Rosa, the wolf behind you is Prince Ray and he would like to officially meet you.” Alpha Black said turning me to face the wolf leaving his hands on my shoulders. Before I could say anything, the wolf transformed into a man. A tall, handsome naked man. I closed my eyes tightly in shock and disbelief.

“Are you ok Rosa?” Alpha Black asks gently. “We are werewolves.”

“Wolf just turned into a naked man. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be okay. Too much has happened. I really need time to process.” I said not opening my eyes and still listening to the alarm go off. I felt someone grab my hands. Their touch created an electric and calm feeling. ‘Like when I touched Wolfe’ I thought and opened my eyes. Infront of me stood the man that had transformed from the wolf but was now wearing pants.

“I know this is a lot to take in, but you are not alone. We just want to keep you safe. There is much to tell you, but it will have to wait. You are not safe here. Please come with us. Come with me. I know you feel the pull. Let us get you safe. Then we can give you time to process.” Ray said squeezing my hands.

I stood there in shock of everything looking into Ray’s eyes. I felt my father squeeze my shoulders lightly and say “You can even have your own house on our property. You would get to pick when you want to meet people.”

‘This is crazy’ I thought. ‘Should I go with them? Are these people truly who I belong with? Was my mother really poisoning me?’ After a long pause of silence, I nod my head in defeat and feeling overwhelmed “Ok, but no more turning into a wolf or man into wolf for a while.”

Ray smiles and pulls me into a tight hug, “Deal. I can’t tell you how happy I am to have found you.”

Three hours later I stood in my house looking at how empty it was looking. My father had the alarm in the kitchen disabled and my so-called medicine sent for analysis. I still fear that my mother’s friends will show up but so far, they have been a no show. Ray has stayed by my side the whole time making sure that I am okay. It has been nice since he makes me feel safe and calm, but I am not sure why he makes me feel that way. I checked the house one last time before walking out of the house for the last time.

“That’s everything.” I say sadly stopping right outside the front door.

“Let’s get going then.” Ray said, grabbing my hand to lead me to a vehicle. As we turned, I see Kay walking toward us looking serious.

“Anna, there is an issue.” Kay said stopping in front of Ray and I.

“What is it? We were fixing to leave.” I said concerned

“Your mother escaped this morning.” He said “The president wants to put you in protective custody.”

Ray started to growl lowly, and I squeezed his hand.

“That won’t be necessary, Kay. My father found me after seeing my mother had been arrested. I believe my father has enough resources to keep me safe.” I said motioning to my father and hoping that it was true as I really did not want to be in government protective custody. “The President is more than welcome to talk to him.”

Kay nodded and turned to my father. I ignored what they were saying and let Ray lead me toward the SUV.

“Don’t you dare get in that vehicle Anna!” I heard yelling from the street. Looking up I saw my mother and her friends.

“You’ve been a very bad girl, Anna. Turning on your own mother, not taking your medicine, and now running away.” She said stopping at the end of the driveway. “Too bad I don’t get to punish you. However, the boss will do plenty of that once you are mated with him.”

“You are crazy! I am not going anywhere with you, nor do I know what you are talking about with being mated to your boss. Father found me so you can just march your ass back to jail and leave me alone! I want nothing to do with your crazy terrorist cult! I thought I had made that very clear!” I yell at her getting out some of my frustration and anger toward her.

“You will be a good obedient daughter that I raised you to be! You will mate my boss even if I must drag you kicking and screaming or drugging you might be a better idea.” She yelled, taking a step toward me.

Ray growls loudly and pushes me behind him. My mother laughs and pulls out a gun. “Silly little Prince, you shouldn’t have left your castle. My orders are to kill you on sight. Say goodbye to my daughter.”

As I heard the gun go off, I jumped in front of Ray. He is only here because of me, and I couldn’t let him get hurt. As I felt the bullet hit my back toward my shoulder I looked up into Ray’s eyes.

“No!” he yelled holding me in his arms. “Rosa, why did you do that?”

I smiled at him and whispered, “Your only here because of me” as everything went black.
