“I will hunt you down,” Blake.
God, she looked so f*****g hot in the silk rob and camise, Blake thought. He had never seen her wear anything that hugged her body so very well.
Why did she have to tease me like so? Blake grunted to himself as he looked at the spread of food left by Danny.
He decided there was nothing better to do but eat his frustration away.
As morning came, Blake decided to go out for a run; his wolf had been itching to run. And has been fighting for control with his wolf to mark and claim Danny since last night. Blake’s wolf wanted her, consuming his mind.
He left a note on the table written on a table napkin.
“OUT FOR A RUN,” Smirking as he knew that out for a run for wolves meant something else.
Blake started running towards the forest. When he felt he was far enough, he removed his jogging pants and shirt and hid them in one of the trees with an open c***k by its roots.
Blake started running as he ran; he began to shift. His entire body starts modeling itself into its new werewolf shape, which is more significant than your not-so-average wolf. Bones begin to snap, lengthen, and pop through the skin and back into place. Thus creating an entirely new foundation. He lands on all four paws.
The wolf shakes his fur out as it stretches its limbs.
Ok, let's go; Blake commands the wolf.
The wolf runs deeper into the forest. It runs to its heart's content. Blake was free to roam these lands as his pack’s territory.
Before heading back, he decided to linger a little longer than he hoped in a clearing just a couple of miles from the Crowle house.
Suddenly he heard a rustling behind him; there was somebody there. Sniffing out the scent, Blake was confused. It was mixed with a rogue wolf and a human. And the human smelled like something he knew but hadn’t smelled in a long while.
How? He wondered.
The wolf stood up and turned around to face the scent and sound coming. A shadow figure stood behind a tree. Blake notices the shine of the dagger on his hands.
Growling, his wolf tried to intimidate the threat. Blake recognizes the threat as a hunter who only steps out of the shadow and into the light. The Hunter was covered from head to foot with a black ninja-like outfit. Its face is covered with a black mesh mask like in fencing.
Blake freezes. It’s a hunter. They had not seen a hunter since forever, and he was wondering why there was one so close to his pack lands now. He quickly warns his father through the mind link.
“Get out of there, son,” His father commands.
The wolf growls, showing dominance.
The wolf tried to sniff the air, but the scent was masked, but he could distinctively smell Wolf’s bane. Wolf’s bane is a poison that stops the healing capabilities.
Blake held his ground as his eyes wandered to the dagger in both hands of the hunter. With its shimmer, it was silver. Silver is deadly for wolves.
Blake has only once seen a hunter when he was much younger. Memory tells him they move in packs like wolves. This made Blake more alert to his surroundings.
The hunter was smaller than he remembered hunters, but he knew its size shouldn’t fool him.
“I’ll send some warriors,” His dad says through the mind link.
“No, don’t. It will only confirm there is a pack living nearby. Best it thinks I am a rogue.”
“Son,” his dad’s voice laced with worry.
“I got this, dad” Blake closed his mind link as he needed his focus.
The hunter crunches down in a fighting stance; without hesitation, it runs towards the wolf and jumps towards the wolf’s head. The wolf stood its ground as it swung its head at the hunter. It's canines out.
His bite misses the mere hunter by inches, and the dagger misses the wolf.
Once the hunter landed and quickly turned to the wolf. The hunter runs towards. As it’s a few feet away from the wolf, it jumps. In mid-air, the hunter does a somersault avoiding the wolf's canines.
The hunter lands a few feet away. It turns to the wolf, hands in a fighting stance, firmly holding the daggers.
The wolf and the hunter circle each other until the wolf finally lunges forward toward the hunter. The hunter leaps through the air above him. The wolf anticipated this and swung its head in the hunter’s direction, hitting the hunter mid-air. The hunter is thrown a few meters away, hitting a tree.
It falls to the ground, coughing. The wolf can faintly smell blood. It growled in triumph for having hurt the hunter.
The hunter stammers as he gets back on his feet. With its paws planted firmly on the ground, the wolf attacks first, running towards the hunter. The hunter tries to cut the wolf by sliding underneath it. The wolf was surprised by the maneuver.
Before the Wolf could turn, one of the hunter’s daggers cuts the wolf’s hind leg. The cut was not deep, but because it was silver, it stung like hell. Blake lost focus and lost his mind link block.
“Son, your hurt,” His father calls to him.
“It’s just a nick,” He lied, seeing the blood spots on the ground from where his paw was.
“His alone,” He told his father.
“Impossible Hunters are never alone. It might be a trap getting your guard down. Before they all attack,” His father warned.
The hunter and the wolf circled each other. The wolf planned its next attack. It faked an attack on the hunter. The hunter runs towards him, and mid-way, the wolf turns and kicks the hunter with its back paws.
The hunter flew and hit a tree hard. The wolf no longer waited for the hunter to get up. With how the tree trunk cracked behind the hunter, it knew it hit it with enough force to knock the hunter out.
The wolf run towards the mountains.
“Son, are you at the site?” His father asked through the mind link.
“Almost” As the wolf runs, the sting from the blade hurts even more.
Blake knew he couldn’t run back to the Crowle house or his pack. The hunters were trackers, and they would follow him, which could endanger his friends or lead them to his collection.
A rule was set out to the pack members to encounter a hunter.
That was to run towards the mountains, the opposite direction from their pack. Reach the river that bends and cross it—Shifting humans form in the water.
A pack member would be ready on the opposite side to aid the pack member on the run from the hunter.
And as such, once Blake reached the river that bends, his father was on the other side with a robe in hand. With two warriors next to him with long-range weapons.
The wolf crosses the river and shifts midway—the cold water shocking Blake’s system. And without the wolf, the wound on his leg hurt him more than he could handle.
As he steps out of the river, his father puts a robe over him. Blake’s cut across the center of his thigh. It wasn’t deep, but it wouldn’t heal fast as a silver blade used. Blake started to shiver from the pain and the cold.
“Told you it wasn’t so bad,” Blake jokes, but it was visible from his face and how his body trembled the pain he felt.
“You are lucky he didn’t use Wolf’s bane.”
“Yeah.. luck…” was all Blake uttered before falling unconscious.
His father caught him as he fell. He was still strong for his age. One of the warriors helped him carry Blake into the Black SUV.
As the other remaining warrior covered their tracks by shifting snow. He was lucky it was snowing. It was easier to cover tracks.
The Black SUV drove carefully out of the forest, ensuring not to damage foliage. They had to be extra careful as hunters were excellent trackers.
Upon reaching the road, the car waited for the warrior to cover their car’s tracks. He got into the car and boarded.
“let’s go to the pack infirmary. For sure, the hunter would go straight to the hospitals. Inform the warriors of this development but only the warriors and my beta and Gamma. I don’t want our pack to panic until we know more info.” The Alpha commanded.
