CHAPTER 25 Jack’s stall was at the far end of the park where it could capture people leaving the games overwhelmed with a fondness for all things Scottish and inclined to sign up for an authentic Outlander tour. I headed in its direction, pushing my way past nervous Highland dancers waiting to compete on the stage, kilted men stretching their muscles ahead of hammer throws and caber tossing, and pipers warming up.
