I got waylaid as I tried to leave my office, so I was a few minutes late arriving at Misers. Dana’s car was in the lot, but she wasn’t in it. The heat of the day was oppressive. I sure hoped she’d taken a table inside the café and bar rather than one on the patio. My prayers were answered when I spotted her at a corner table in the air-conditioned dining area, a sweating glass of iced tea already waiting for me.
