13.Felix, Smith, and Ireland settled in the living room to wait for the girls. Smith was sitting on the arm of the couch facing the hallway, looking in Felix’s direction. Felix stood a couple feet away and Ireland was sitting in a chair on the opposite side of the room, close to my closet. I wanted to make a move but was conflicted. The girls were clearly being deceived about their circumstances and relationship to Uchida. If I took out Smith, Ireland, and Felix, then I would’ve had to convince them of what really was going on. Or there was the possibility the girls would actually help the three of them take me out. I didn’t have the patience for either of those scenarios, so I remained quiet and decided the best move was to wait.
