Chapter5

I wrapped my legs around him as the warm water from the shower of the exclusive suite we were lodged in sluiced over our wet bodies. He slipped into me and groans left both our lips. His hands around my waist, our lips clashing and both tongues fighting to establish dominance in each other’s mouth, desire burned and passion roared. His hold around me tightened while I wound tight my arms around his neck, it was as though we were holding onto each other for dear life. “Mmm…” I moaned into his mouth. My brain's cells were sizzling with so much flame. We were almost at the peak and with each urgent thrust, we got there faster. And when we finally reached there, our cries filled the gleaming, luxurious bathroom. My back was to the wall and he laid his head on my chest, between my well rounded mounds. We were both breathless. The s*x was getting great between us both. We could not control ourselves after that first day in his office. It became our addiction. Our secret addiction. On his table. His office sofa. Suites during business trips. We had even done it twice before in his vehicle. Sometimes protected. Sometimes not. The passion and spark between us was too great for any protective gear to handle. Thankfully, I was on birth control pills. We were currently on a business s***h pleasure trip. We were done with business and this client we had come to see was having his birthday party and had invited us. He owned this hotel, so it was happening in the hotel’s event room. “Let’s take a shower and prepare for Mr. Bellini’s birthday.” He said when he could finally regain his breath. “Alright, Dre…sir.” I unwrapped myself from him and quickly began to apply scented liquid bath soap over my body. Sometimes, I still forgot I was no longer Daisy but Rosalie. If he heard it, he did not say anything. He joined me and we managed to shower and leave the bathroom just in time to get dressed for the party without ravaging each other again for the third time. “Shall we?” He looked every bit the gentleman. He was always stealing my breath away. I wondered why I had never seen him in this light when I was Daisy. “Yes, sir” He eyed me appreciatively. I did not miss the lustre glint that flashed through his eyes as they roamed lustfully over me. “Let’s go, sir.” I smiled. “You never seem to amaze me with your new fashion sense.” I chuckled softly. “Thank you, sir.” He kissed my forehead. “Now let’s go celebrate with Mr. Bellini.” The event room was not that hard to find. And many guests were there already. My eyes widened in awe at the enormity of the room and the caliber of people invited. From the influential to the powerful. Everyone in this place was looking like a million bucks. Thankfully I grew up in a wealthy household and had attended parties as Daisy. I knew the etiquettes. Tonight would run smoothly and fun for me. “Hey. Long time no see.” I froze at that voice. My hands clenched as though in reflex. Pamela LeVante. That backstabbing b***h! I had almost forgotten about her. With being Drew’s secretary and secret lover, things had been quite busy. But she was here! How? “Hello, Pamela. Long time no see, indeed.” He smiled warmly at her. What the heck?! Were they still having something together? Why was he smiling at her that way? Her gaze immediately fell on me, coolly assessing. I could see the jealousy too. Pamela had always hated anyone who dressed more than her. I had witnessed her sneer at other people’s beautiful looks but I had never thought much of it. I mean, we were friends. Best friends for that matter. Best friends never hurt each other. But she had. And she would pay. I reached out a hand, a coolly polite smile spread my lips. “Rosalie Millers. Mr. Wyatt-Hudley’s secretary.” She eyed my hand, then reluctantly took it. “Pamela LeVante.” “I know who you are.” My voice had gone cold. Too cold. I sounded angry. She suddenly seemed uncomfortable and pulled her hand from mine. “Yeah. You should.” Drew’s phone began to ring. He plucked it out of his pocket and gave it to me. “Answer this, Rosalie.” His tone was professional. “It’s the Senator’s P.A. Tell him I’m unavailable and will get back to him later when I’m free.” I collected the phone and walked away to do as I had been instructed. “Why did you allow your secretary to dress like that?” I heard Pamela ask Drew. Was she crazy?! I willed myself to remain calm and went out onto the balcony to take his call. By the time I got back, they were having champagne and laughing over something. I frowned. She was rubbing herself over him. The man-snatcher! My steps were brisk and clicked silently against the gleaming floor. I ignored the appreciative stares I was garnering from guests. I had always dressed to turn heads so it was nothing new to me. “He said you should not forget to call back. Said the Senator would like to talk to you.” “Alright. I will.” He took his phone and paid attention to Pamela again. “Your career is going well, I can see.” “Of course. I’m talented.” She said with pride. “Hm. So was your friend.” He sipped his drink. My ears c****d, ready to listen now. “Don’t insult me, Drew. You’ve always known I was better than that wannabe.” She scoffed. I was boiling. Me? A wannabe?! Someone I was better than in acting. She was always my supporting character and that was because I sometimes begged on her behalf. Else, she would just be stuck in playing minor characters. “I’ve never really forgiven you for lying to me about your friendship with her. You should have told me.” He took another flute as a waiter passed by and dropped the empty one there. “I was blinded by your handsomeness.” She winked, then giggled. My heart was spinning like a roulette wheel. I wanted to smash that flute on her head and use the shards to tattoo her face. I took a flute of my own from another passing waiter and quickly downed it. And the fact that Drew was entertaining her was annoying me. “Hm. Still thought you should have told me.” He insisted quite dryly. She trailed a finger along his chest. “Oh come on, Drew. Let’s forget the past. She’s dead and gone. I’m here. Let’s continue from where we stopped.” “She was once your friend.” “Do you miss her?” She asked him. I waited to hear his reply. He seemed to ponder. “I was sad when she died but I never loved her so I guess it’s a no.” “Bingo. I don’t miss her as well. She meant nothing to me. She even cheated on you a few times. Directors. Producers. She romped sheets with them all. You no longer have…” I growled. “Shut up, Pamela!” My voice boomed and attracted the guests. “How dare you…” I did not let her finish before my fist connected with her nose. Shocked gasps resonated within the crowd. I was blinded by rage. How dare she talk about me that way?! Angry tears blurred my vision. A hand roughly tugged me away from the room and out on the corridor. “What has gotten into you?!” I blinked. “Did you not hear what she was saying?” I was suddenly angry at him. “How can you even allow someone to say that about…” “About who?” Rage steeled his tone. “Do you know her? How dare you embarrass me before prominent guests and a client?! How dare you?!” “I…” For some reason, I could not talk. My eyes filled with tears. “You do not know how to run this business but you want to ruin it for me. How could you hit her?!” His glare was heated. “But I do my best…t-to run t-this business w-with you.” My voice was shaking badly. Why was he bringing up my inadequacy and insufficiency? “How?!” I licked my lips. Unable to answer. His eyes flashed. “You will go back there and apologize to Pamela. She’s a public figure and you just disrespected her personality!” I was a public figure too before my death! But no one wanted to know that. I did not want this stupid corporate job but what choice was I left with?! It was better than starving. “No!” I would not apologize to her. She was spewing lies against me. “If you want to keep this job, Rosalie Millers, you will go in there right now and apologize!”
