Chapter 40 - Meeting the Pack Leader
The team ate and began their mission. The wolves proved to be very handy opponents. They could pounce on a clone in twos. The howl of one wolf urged a neighbor to join the fight with the trespasser. The wolves inflicted considerable damage and even managed to bite the phantom with the Bleeding curse. Tom was not worried and calmly went through the Phantom skill procedure. Friends had long ago discovered that a clone could successfully perform the role of a Tank. The Phantom was an incomplete tank. He had enough life to withstand several wolf attacks. His 10th level reached 24 points defense with all of his equipment. But the clone did not have the skill to provoke the monster and draw its aggression only to itself.
