“ I swear morgan if someone doesnt give me my mocha latte soon i'm gonna go postal on this
whole city.” Morgan let out a chuckle “ok kat just warn me before you go psycho killer on
everyone so i can book the first plane ticket to anywhere but here.” kat sighed loudly “seriously
this is ridiculous i've been waiting for fifteen minutes for a medium. How hard can blending some
ingredients and pouring them into a cup be, if they take too much longer i swear im gonna jump
back there and make it my damn self.” morgan laughed a little louder “yea ok ms. big and bad
you keep telling yourself that , ha! This coming from the woman who cant even kill a fly.” kats
eyes narrowed and she felt her jaw twitch. “Look, I believe all living creatures deserve a chance
at a happy normal life, it doesn't mean i wont severely go off on someone if I don't get my
coffee.” “Whatever you say girl whatever you say, just make sure you hurry up we don't need
asshole, whoops excuse me did I say that out loud? I mean bossman to have anymore reason
to want to fire you.” kat sighed heavily she hated working for her ex fiance he was constantly
trying to get her fired or ignoring her ideas, it wasn't like she did anything wrong the wretched
bastard was the one that cheated, she just decided she didn't want to marry him if he wasn't
going to be faithful, “yea morg i know, not exactly like i can forget.” “katerina?” Kat looked up tosee a man standing behind the counter with her drink “Oh thank god, okay girl see you at work I
got me a date with mr mocha, my car, and halling my ass to work.” morgan chuckled again
“alright just be careful it's a nice ass and i don't wanna see if hurt, love you bye.” Kat laughed
“okay yea got it love you too bye.” Kat practically ran to the counter to get her drink it was like all
the problems in the world could be solved by caffeine, she took a sip and felt the anger leave
her body, mmm yea that definitely was what she needed but as her alarm went off on her watch
warning her that she had 10 minutes before work started, the anger and stress came rushing
right back. “s**t!!” Kat ran out of the door of the coffee shop to get to her car, opened her purse
to grab her keys and SMACK!
“Jesus, what did I hit a wall?” Kat groaned from the ground “nope but i have been told im as
stubborn as a wall which still doesn't make sense to me.” Kat sat up, rubbed the back of her
head, and slowly opened her eyes “My latte! Ugh!!” she got to her feet and went to cuss out the
man that got in her way “listen mister, what the fuuuu….” she went speechless the man in front
of her was gorgeous, oh sweet merciful heaven he was perfect he had to be at least 6 '2 jet
black hair slicked back and twisted a little in the front with the most piercing blue eyes she had
ever seen, his eyes put the ocean to shame he wore a tight dark red v neck and grey jeans that
were meant to look ripped.
Tal crossed his arms over his chest and raised his eyebrow at the woman in front of him. She
looked harmless but if he wasn't mistaken she was about to rip him a new one “you were saying
ms.?” Kat felt her cheeks turn red hot as she realized she was standing there in the middle of
the sidewalk with coffee on her jeans mouth open gawking at this man, “uhm nothing sorry just
well you made me ruin my coffee and im already running late for work, OH s**t! WORK!” Kat
looked at her watch and realized she only had 3 minutes to be at her desk tal watched the
woman curiously, she was different then most he had met yea she stared at time like most do
but something was different about her and he didn't like not knowing what it was, he furrowed
his brow, “ well i'm sorry I ruined your coffee maybe next time try not to come barelening out of a
store like a bowling ball.” Kat started to feel tears well up in her eyes she was going to be fired
for this and she knew it. Tal felt a strange sensation come over him as he saw her eyes fill with
tears “hey now dont cry its not worth it it's just coffee and im sure if you're a few minutes late to
work your boss will understand.” Kat sniffled “sadly mr. youre wrong about that, either way
maybe if I hurry, I can save myself a bit of embarrassment.” Kat reached into her purse to grab
her keys but they weren't there, panic went through her body as she hurried to her car.
Tal couldn't figure it out why did this girl captivate him so? Why did he have this urge to know
she was going to be okay hell 7 minutes ago she ran into him, but he had to know so he
followed her over to her car window, “can i ask what's wrong now?” Kat was shaking at this point
“my keys.. I locked them in the car” tal looked past her head to see a key chain dangling in the
car “well i can give you a ride if you want.`` Tal was stunned that he just said that to a woman he
doesn't know or even know her name but he felt in his heart he meant it. Kat's eyes widened
with a slimmer of hope “really? I mean granted i swear i don't take rides from anyone I meet on
the street but I'm so stressed right now I could really use it.” tal nodded “no worries i understand
completely come on if we hurry you may still make it on time.” Kat hurriedly followed tal across
the street and let out a small laugh “yeah okay buddy i speed and work still takes me ten
minutes to get there from here and I'm already 2 minutes past when i was supposed to start, there is no way you can get me there in 3 minutes.” tal grinned “we will see.” They stopped at
tals bike and Kat felt her heart skip a beat. She had never been on a motorcycle before oh this
day just gets better and better but she didn't have time to complain. Tal grabbed his helmet and
handed it to kat “here put this on.” kat smiled a little “oh he believes in safety huh?” tal grinned
and got on the bike and kat followed suit and got behind him “baby girl the only safety i believe
in involves a football and me being able to tackle someone.” kat gulped the way he spoke made
her want to melt, it should be illegal to be that good looking and sound that hot at the same time
“uhm my name is katerina but everyone calls me kat.”
Tal smiled softly at that as he started the bike “well kat it's nice to meet you, call me tal.” kats
brow furrowed a bit tal huh that had to be short for something but before she could ask tal
turned on the bike and handed her the gps, kat plugged in the address for work and tal took it
back and reattached it to the bike and spoke loudly over the bike “now close your eyes and
prepare to be at work.” Kat smiled a little, wrapped her arms around his waist and closed her
eyes to try to relax. She felt the wind whip around her as he drove but oddly everything was
silent usually centennial was busy as hell on a monday morning she opened her eyes to see
why it was so quiet and realized they were sitting in front of her work building, how the hell did
he do that? She checked her watch and sure enough she still had 2 minutes before she was 5
minutes late wow this man was scary good, she hopped off the bike and handed him the helmet
“i'm sorry i cant repay you for this but thank you so much tal you have no idea how much I
appreciate you doing this for a stranger.” tal smiled wide and inclined his head to her “anytime
you want to try to mow me down outside a coffee shop and then need a ride anywhere baby girl
i'm your man.” tal winked and kat blushed “well uhm thank you goodbye tal.” Kat turned and
hurried into the building and got in the elevator, Tal sat at the front for a minute watching as she
tried to fast walk and felt himself smiling and as she disappeared through the door he looked
down royally confused what the hell just happened? He's always been good with the ladies but
he was never ever that accommodating to anyone for that matter and she made him smile… he
couldn't even remember the last time he smiled, tal shook his head and sighed heavily. “I've got
to figure out what the hell that was.”
