My mate not being ready to make out with me right away doesn’t bother me, but it is annoying my wolf who is so eager to put his mark on her that he doesn’t care if she wants it or not.
In his mind, she can learn to love us, but that's not what I want. My mate and I should have a mutual agreement when it comes to marking. Unlike my parents, I will absolutely allow her to put her mark on me as well, so it's important that she agrees, otherwise, we may end up with only a partial bond.
I’m not even sure what that does to mates, but seeing that my mother was able to leave my father and never come back; it's likely that the marked person holds less of an attachment.
