Some of the things we’re trying to achieve will be much simpler with Daniel and his two kids here, but it still surprises me how difficult this transition has become. Watching him navigate it all makes me feel both proud and slightly inadequate. I never imagined Daniel would go to such great lengths—asking the gods for such a high price—to ensure the welfare of our family.
