A NEW BEGINNING

KHALI'S POV

AFTER 6 YEARS

It's been 6 years since that incident, yet it still haunts me like a nightmare.

I shook it off my mind and went to take a bath. I have a meeting this afternoon, so I needed to prepare. I am now a successful AB engineer, and I own a lot of properties and businesses related to food, particularly restaurants. We serve fresh foods from my farm. So, basically, I am the supplier for my own business.

I asked my secretary, Alice, to prepare the meeting room as there was a big client of mine coming today to discuss our collaboration with their company (HH Company). Mr. Han Hoseok, my soon-to-be business partner, arrived, and we went down to business. Hindi nakaligtas sakin ang mga tinginan ni Alice sakanya. I don't blame her, he was a pretty man, he was a bit older, but he still has that charm in him, but I am not attracted nor interested in men anymore.

WEEKS PASSED

Weeks passed quickly, and today was supposed to be the contract signing, Mr. Han wasn't able to come because of some personal matter, so I decided to go to Korea instead. I am not the type to waste my time nor reschedule something important. I asked Alice to book us the earliest flight to Korea, and told her to pack immediately as we were in a hurry. Luckily, I was still in my house when Mr. Han informed me about his matter. He asked me to reschedule it, but I told him I would make some adjustments as the matter he is facing right now is about his family.

3 HOURS LATER

We arrived in Korea around 1:00 pm, and we were picked up by Mr. Han's security. We were dropped by Mr. Han's hotel where we will be staying. My room was 203, while Alice's was 202. It was unnecessary to give us separate rooms, but Mr. Han himself instructed them.

The meeting would be in 2 hours, so Alice and I decided to tour a little. The security was with us, so we were confident that we would never get lost. We went to a nearby park. I took my camera with me, so I took pictures of the places while Alice started filming. I am her boss, but that doesn't mean I am not friends with her. We formed a bond a long time ago, since she started working with me.

She excused herself to go to the restroom in the corner, while I went inside to a nearby café to buy coffee. I bought 3 cups of coffee.

As I stepped out of the shop, I suddenly lost my balance, and was about to bump into someone, but my right hand was quick to hold that someone. I was relieved for a moment before realizing I was pulling his shirt. Not just the shirt, but I nearly touched his..... down there. OH MY F*CKING GOSH, I quickly pulled back my hand, and apologized repeatedly. He was stunned too, so he didn't quickly recover. Before he could react, I took out my coffee and gave it to him. Gladly, the coffee wasn't spilled. I apologized again, and hurriedly went to the car parked on the side of the road where Alice and the bodyguard were waiting. I sighed heavily upon entering the car. Alice gave me a weird look and I just ignored it. I lent them the coffee I bought. Alice asked mine, but I just told them I was fine without one. Alice nodded and we drove to the HH Company.

We were welcomed by the company staff and led to the meeting room. After the contract signing, Mr. Han asked us to attend dinner with his family, which we did.
