"A Beta and his Vampire Princess" Chapter 9

“Gena! Are you almost ready?” Greyson called out, checking his watch as he waited in the entryway of their house. It was the day of the Florida Celebration of Peace ceremony and they were going to be late if they didn’t leave right this second. Greyson heard Gena sigh and the sound of their bedroom door being thrown open. He knew he was in trouble now. Gena’s red high heels clicked on the tile floor as she marched towards the entryway, holding up the hem of her dress. She was wearing a long satin red evening gown that had a small train and a deep V neckline outlined in silver jewels. She smiled at Greyson’s reaction when he first saw her. His eyes bugged out of his head and instantly turned black, Clyde making his presence known. Gena giggled but rolled her eyes so he didn’t get too full of himself. “On second thought, being late isn’t such a big deal.” He said, his eyes lingering over her body. “Down, Beta.” Gena laughed as his hands began to roam her body. She allowed him to kiss her once before moving out of his arms and towards the front door. Greyson grumbled in annoyance but followed after his mate without argument. Greyson opened the door for Gena and helped her down the steps. The celebration was at an old barn that had been remodeled into an event space a few miles from the vendors, but still inside the protection of the market’s guards. The field in front of the barn was already filled with cars. A valet motioned for them to pull up in front of the barn and then offered to park the car. Greyson opened the door for Gena and helped her from the SUV. They looked around, observing the loud music and soft lights that decorated the barn and the outside. It really was a beautiful party space. “Beta Greyson! I’m so glad you could make it!” A man who reeked of werewolf with a strong aura walked up to them. Greyson held Gena closer to his side. “Thank you, Alpha Brady. This is my mate, Gena.” Greyson said and Alpha Brady held out his hand towards the princess. “It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Princess Gena.” Alpha Brady smiled politely. “Please, Alpha Brady, just call me Gena. And thank you for being such a generous host to us.” Gena bowed her head in respect. “Anything for Alpha Noah and his Beta, dear. Come, let me introduce you to the new Alpha and Luna of Valor Moon.” Alpha Brady said, motioning for them to follow after him. Alpha Brady led them further into the barn and towards the sound of a loud, hearty laughter. In the back of the barn, near some rectangular tables that were set up with food, was a large man with light brown hair and a beautiful woman with elegantly curled blonde hair and deep blue eyes. “Alpha Ned, Luna Annie, this is Beta Greyson from Blood Moon and his mate, Gena.” Alpha Brady said, gesturing towards the couple. Gena and Greyson bowed their heads in respect and Greyson offered the Alpha his hand, “Congratulations on taking over your pack, Alpha Ned.” Greyson said, “Thank you, Beta Greyson. Congratulations on finding your mate and I applaud you for accepting her,” Alpha Ned said, eyeing Gena with curiosity, “Gena, the Vampire Princess, yes?” He asked. “Yes, Alpha.” Gena said, nodding. “I don’t need to be applauded, Alpha. She’s my mate, of course I accepted her.” Greyson said, pulling Gena snugly to his side. “I mean no disrespect, Beta Greyson. I simply mean to say that times are very uncertain right now and it takes courage to go against what others may say or think.” Alpha Ned said, smiling kindly at Greyson and Gena. “We are lucky to have a generous Alpha who stands beside us.” Greyson said, “Yes, Alpha Noah is your brother, correct?” Alpha Ned asked. “Yes, he is.” “Enough serious talk, Ned. It’s a party for Goddess sake.” Luna Annie rolled her eyes and smiled widely at Gena and Greyson, “Off you two go. Enjoy yourselves.” She said, waving the couple away. Alpha Ned’s robust belly shook as he laughed at his mate, taking her hand in his. “Of course, my intelligent Luna is correct.” Alpha Ned smirked. “They always are.” Greyson said, glancing down at his own mate, “Shall we?” He gestured towards the dance floor. Gena sighed, not really loving the idea of dancing, but she knew better than to offend a Luna or to deny her Beta. She nodded her head and allowed him to guide her towards the dance floor. The band switched to a slow song and some of the people left the dance floor, leaving only a few couples. Greyson twirled Gena once before settling them into a dancing position. He rested one of his hands on her hip and grasped her hand with the other. She rested her free hand on his arm and leaned against his chest. “I love you, princess.” Greyson whispered. Gena sighed as she pressed her cheek against his strong chest, listening to his heartbeat. “I love you, too.” She whispered but she knew that her Beta mate could hear her just fine. Greyson tugged her away from his chest as the song ended, pinching her chin and tilting her face up so he could look into her eyes. He smiled and leaned down to kiss her sweetly. When the song ended, Greyson led Gena towards the food tables and they each helped themselves to a plate. They found an empty circle table to sit down at together. After a few minutes, a few others joined them. “Mind if we join you?” One of the men asked. “Not at all, please.” Greyson gestured towards the empty seats. “Thanks. I’m Valor Moon’s Beta, Francis Richard and this is my lovely mate, Loreli.” The man, Beta Francis, said as he pulled out a chair for his mate who was clearly pregnant, “And this is the Gamma, Stanley Commons and his mate, Macie.” “Nice to meet you. I’m Beta Greyson from Blood Moon and this is my mate, Gena.” Greyson said, “Congratulations.” Gena said, motioning towards the Beta Female. Loreli smiled and rubbed her stomach, “Oh, thank you! We’re so excited, it’s a boy. Francis Jr., Frankie.” Loreli said, “The future Beta right here.” Beta Francis grinned proudly, putting his hand on top of Loreli’s. “And the future Gamma, let’s not forget.” Gamma Stanley jumped in, putting his hand on Macie’s stomach. Gena smiled at Macie, “You’re pregnant, too?” “We just found out a few weeks ago. We’re not even sure what we’re having yet.” Macie shrugged, rolling her eyes at her dramatic mate. “It’s a boy, Lionel.” Gamma Stanley said matter-of-factly. “If you name that child Lionel he will never forgive you.” Beta Francis snorted. “We are not naming him Lionel.” Macie scoffed. Gena wasn’t paying attention to their argument, instead she was focusing on their stomachs. For the first time in her entire undead life, she felt unrelenting disappointment at the fact that she would never be pregnant. She had never worried about it before, it was never something that she had wanted. But, hearing them talk about the future Beta and Gamma of their pack made her feel guilty of not being able to give Blood Moon their future Beta and disappointed over never having this moment with her own mate. “Gena?” Greyson grabbed her hand and whispered in her ear. She jumped and shook herself out of her funk, smiling at Greyson. “I’m okay.” She said before turning her attention back to her plate of food. Gena faked her way through the rest of the night, engaging in polite chit chat and dancing with Greyson whenever he asked. She did a good job at fooling everyone else, but not her mate. Greyson saw right through her. When they were settled into the silent darkness of his SUV and on their way home, he finally released a frustrated sounding sigh. “What’s wrong?” Gena asked, her head snapping towards Greyson. “No, what’s wrong with you? I know you’re upset about something.” He said, picking up her hand and resting their entwined fingers on her lap. “I’m….” “Don’t lie to me, Gena.” Greyson said sternly and Gena frowned. “Fine. I can’t give you a future Beta, Grey.” She mumbled. Greyson slammed on the breaks and pulled the car off to the side of the road. “Excuse me?” Gena looked at him with wide eyes. “What are you doing?” She gasped. Greyson turned in his seat so he could face her head on, “We need to talk about this, Gena.” He said seriously. “I’m a vampire, Grey. I can’t have children. I can’t be your pregnant Beta Female, I can’t give you a son, and I can’t give Blood Moon a Beta.” She said, refusing to look into his eyes so he couldn’t see the shame in her expression. “I know all of that, Gena. I knew it when I marked you and accepted you as my mate. The next Alpha of Blood Moon can choose their own Beta, it doesn’t have to come from my bloodline. I don’t want you to worry about this, Gena. I love you and I want a life with you, nothing else matters.” He assured her, pinching her chin and forcing her to look at him. “Grey….” Her voice cracked as tears began to well up in her eyes. Greyson unbuckled his seatbelt and hers, pulling her across the console of the car and into his lap. He turned her to face him, running his thumb across her cheeks to catch her falling tears. “Don’t cry, princess. None of this is as important as having you in my life. And there are other options to having a child. There’s an orphanage on Blood Moon with pups who need homes.” Greyson spoke softly to Gena. “I didn’t think werewolves adopted?” Gena sniffed. “It’s not normal but it does happen. The only reason it’s unusual is because of our wolves, they usually don’t accept adopted pups. Clyde is different.” Greyson said, “How?” “Do you want to hear it from him?” Greyson asked, continuing to dry her tears. Gena sniffed again and nodded. She didn’t get to talk to Clyde often, he was a very dominant wolf and his animalistic instincts were sometimes a little too much for Gena. Nevertheless, she made sure to make time for him whether it was to go for a run or a picnic on the beach in the moonlight. There was even one time, when she was feeling particularly adventures, that she let him take over in the bedroom. She hasn’t quite looked at Greyson the same since then. Greyson’s eyes went black and then his face was stuffed in her neck. She giggled against her tears and ran her hands through Greyson’s hair. “Clyde.” She mumbled and he growled at hearing his name. He kissed his mark on her neck and she shivered. When he pulled away from her neck, he quickly pressed his lips to hers. Gena laughed against his mouth and pulled away slightly. “Clyde.” She repeated his name in a more chastising tone. Clyde huffed in annoyance but backed off. “If mate brings us a pup, I will accept the pup as my own.” Clyde declared. “You will?” Gena asked, batting her damp eyelashes at Clyde. “Yes, mate. Your pup is mine, no matter where he or she comes from.” Clyde shrugged nonchalantly. “I love you so much, Clyde.” Gena giggled, feeling like a weight had been lifted from her chest. “I love you, mate.” Clyde growled before yanking her towards him and kissing her again. Gena gave herself over to Clyde, wrapping her hands around his neck and moving her mouth passionately against his. Clyde’s lips slipped from her mouth and down her neck, sucking on his mark on her neck and causing her to wiggling against his lap. He groaned at the friction on his member and tugged at Gena’s dress. “Clyde, we’re in a car.” Gena mumbled, gasping as his fingers brushed against her bare skin. “So?” Clyde grunted. He reached down and tugged at the seat’s handle, pushing the chair back as far as it would go and reclining the seat. He lifted Gena up easily and tugged up her dress, exposing her lace thong to his greedy eyes. “Clyde!” Gena’s gasp gave way to a moan as he started rubbing her s*x. “Yes, mate?” Clyde grunted, his face returning to her neck. “Don’t stop.” She said in a husky voice and Clyde chuckled. “I won’t mate.” Clyde picked up his pace and then slipped his hand inside her thong, pushing two fingers into her entrance. Gena gasped and threw her head back, gripping Clyde’s biceps. She felt his member poking her butt and she moved her hands down to undo the zipper of his dress pants. She pulled his member from his boxers and began pumping it in her hands. Clyde grunted and ripped off her thong in one swift motion. He picked up Gena and slammed her down aggressively on his member, causing her to cry out in both pain and pleasure. “Yes, yes, Clyde!” Gena moaned, gripping Clyde’s shoulders so she could move up and down even faster. Clyde grabbed both of her breasts in his hand and squeezed them, rubbing his thumb over her taut n*****s. Gena cried out and buried her face in his neck as she clutched around his member, withering against him as she reached her climax. She clamped down on his mark and Clyde grunted as he finished inside her. “I love you, mate.” Clyde whispered, kissing her cheek. “My, my.” He chuckled and Gena knew that Greyson had taken back control. She giggled and pulled away from his neck to look into Greyson’s green eyes. “I love you, Grey.” Gena smirked, pecking his lips. “You so owe me when we get home.” He chuckled before kissing her back. Gena rolled off his lap and went back to her own chair, shimming her dress back down. “You owe me a thong.” Gena huffed, pretending to be annoyed. Greyson threw back his head and laughed before putting the car back on the road.
