Surviving Highschool as a Teenage Werewolf

First Day at West View High

      Liam always hated waking up at 6 in the morning he was lazy like that, but he couldn't be late on his first day at his new school. he got up did his daily workout with 30 pushups, 30 sit-ups,  and 30 pulls ups . after he got his phone, he went to iTunes and played "Something just like this" by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay hopped in the shower. while in the shower Liam can't help but sing along "OH I WANT  SOMETHING JUST LIKE THIS" he mouths as he gets out and dries himself out with his towel and just 10 minutes after he goes down already in his WVH uniform. he wore a white shirt with a black tie and a vest with the school's logo of a globe with a book and WVH written on the book, he wore black high cut converse shoes which went well his black slacks and his black curtain hairstyle which made him look like a character out of a Korean webtoon novel.

     While eating breakfast Liam watches the daily news as his Mom Brianna Crawford cooks bacon and eggs which bore Liam cause they always have bacon and eggs for breakfast cause his Dad Marcus Crawford wishes that they have it every morning. 

  "Dad you do know that bacon is very fattening and bad for your health which would be accurate knowing that your hundreds of years old right?" says Liam to his dad 

    Marcus laughed  " Liam, your too young to worry about things like Cholesterol and high blood pressure  why worry when we werewolves don't die over something so human?"

    Liam hated it when his Dad always compared humans and werewolves like humans aren't worthy of living, Liam grew up having more human friends and he cared about them like every friend would and it always bothered him. after eating he put his plate on the sink and brushed his teeth grab his bag and kissed his mom and dad goodbye.

 " Bye Mom Bye Dad see you later be home before 6" Liam waved and went out to the garage and got on his bike.  on his way to school, he ran into his best friend Sean Valdez who was also on his bike and also transferred to WVH with Liam. Sean was about the same height as Liam he had got a tan that matched his brown eyes.

    "So guess what my mom says she would allow me to get a job so that I can get that car that I always wanted but the catch was that I buy her this bag she always wanted,"  Sean said  as they turn the corner 

" I mean she did buy you your new bike and has taken care of you since you were a baby Sean,"  he said "AGH I hate it when your right" Sean said with an annoyed tone " When have I ever been the wrong bro" Liam laughs as he goes faster than Sean.

after 10 minutes they hopped off and walked all the way to the school gate, as they arrive they locked their bikes near the guardhouse which was where all the students park their bikes.

"First day nervous Sean?" Liam puts his hand on Sean's shoulder

" are you kidding? you're  Mr. popular as your best friend this is gonna be a breeze" Sean laughs as they walk to the school gymnasium where they had their school assembly and morning roll call. it was the First day of Orientation where they would be told about all they needed to know about WVH. 

In the middle of the speech given by Principal Bruner  Liam flicked Sean's forehead to wake him up apparently  Sean couldn't sleep cause of excitement and was drooling on his vest that some of the students were noticing and can't help but laugh at him.

  "Well enough out of this old fart ill let the student council president explain about what we want to achieve this school year and about everything else you need to know" as he says that Liam hears the other students talking and whispering saying "it's her" like the student council was a monster from a horror film that no one should mess with, sitting next to Liam was a small guy named Sam who wore glasses so thick it made him look like he was crying.

"Who is this Student council president why is everybody seem to be afraid of her?" Liam asked " you must be new to west view well "she" is the queen of this school, she is the smartest student in the school all straight As in every subject from elementary to middle school, she became the student council president when was in middle school and has held that position  to this day, every guy who tried to court her ended up getting rejected and would be labeled with an embarrassing nickname that even till the end of the school year would stick like gum . one of the guys that got rejected  dropped out of embarrassment and ran away from home." Liam and Shane listened and were shaking, they imagined she has claws and scales and a long tongue like a snake and that she had stone-cold eyes.

"Wow, this student council president of ours sounds like a peach, which way to the nearest trash bin I have to throw up," Sean says as he loosens his necktie.

" Is she really that scary? " Liam says to Sam. he fixes his glasses "the other students call her  The Ice Queen  but I personally think that she's the demon reincarnated the girls admire her so much that she always has a group of girls surrounding her like an army."

As the whispering start to settle a girl passes by, she had strawberry blonde hair which smelled like roses, the scent filled the stadium which made Liam look around the crowd who owned that scent. he stares at the girl that is coming up on stage she had captivating eyes which were blue-gray she had pink glossy lips that sparkled cause of the sun rays that made it seem like that god was saying look at this beauty. she seemed to be staring back at Liam which made him gulp and Sean had to wave his hand in front of his face for him to stop staring.

" Now please give up a warm round of applause for your  Student Council President: Catherine Chase " the crowd did as told and the group of girls at the other side of the stadium were whistling and shouting     "Catherine I love you!"  which made some of the guys cringe.

"Thank you, Principal Bruner, and a warm round of applause, as our lovely principal says as the Student Council President I'm here to help you in any way I can if you have any questions about the school feel free to tell any of the members of the SC and I'm gonna make sure that I would address every one of your inquiries and suggestions. as your  SC President, I am here to welcome the new students to our lovely school West View High it is one of the best schools here in our lovely city Malibu California. at the start of the school year we would have few activities like the family day, school fun day, sports day, and some more events that the SC would gladly put together for the students to enjoy but like every school, we prioritize education before fun so please study hard and I hope WV High would be your new home" Catherine kept ongoing.

Liam couldn't help stare " That is the Ice Queen that everyone is talking about? she seems nice" he looked at  Sam " Oh she does but like ice, she is cold to the touch and dangerous"

Liam thought yeah she was pretty but she just seemed like every girl he can't see why he should be afraid of her, he doesn't plan to date her or anyone in fact so he thought he should be good, Turns out Liam and Sean are in the same class which was great because by the time it was time for Liam to introduce himself to his classmates every girl can't help but giggle and call him cute and ask him if he's single. on the other hand, all the guys except for Sean were looking at Liam with envy. minutes after introductions the school bell ringed which meant it was time for morning class. 

 9:40 pm break time and end of English which was their first subject for the day, Liam was staring out the window when 3 of the girls which Liam recognized from the introduction. Nicole the prettiest of the group can't stop staring at Liam like he had something on his face to her right was Andrea who was fiddling with her phone and to her left was Abby who was holding Liam's hand which he pulled back as soon as he noticed. 

 "So Liam what brings you to West View? do you live around here?" Nicole asked while leaning close to Liam with her elbows resting on his desk. "Ugh yeah, I and my best friend Sean live near here" pointing to Sean who was fast asleep. "So are you-!?" the door opens widely and as the room felt silent like the grim reaper was about to reap the soul of whoever talks. 

 She looked as she did during morning orientation Catherine Chase SC President enters and examines the room "Liam Crawford, is he in this room?" and one by one everyone in the class was all staring at Liam who was near the window. Sean who was snoring like a pig woke up and realized that everyone was quiet he later realize that they were all looking at Liam.

 "I'm Liam Crawford" as he stands up greeting Catherine, she studied Liam from head to toe as if he was in an interview for a job at Microsoft. "Follow me, the principal has asked for you" the room was still silent and everyone looked confused, Liam who seemed to be more confused than everyone just followed Catherine who was accompanied by a girl that seemed to be holding a schedule book. she had dark hair and wore glasses which made her look like she was the secretary of the president.

 On the way to the principal office, none of them spoke students were out of their classrooms holding snacks which Liam thought were from the Canteen. Like all schools, there were groups of students who were playing cards, chatting, and laughing, and there were some who had their bangs fixed with curls and were doing their nails like it was a salon.

 " I've read your file, top of your class captain of the Volleyball team no bad remarks of any sort," Catherine said as she keeps walking "we can use you in the School council do you plan on running for a position Liam?" Liam seemed to be calm like all the things Sam said about her were just common gossip that the other girls say so that all the guys stay clear of her.

 " Oh? Uhm? I'm not sure I just transferred so I don't think that I have any plans on applying for Student Council" he looks around and he realizes that WVH was huge there was a library that had like a bazillion books, just outside was a field of grass which were some of the students were laying down like they were having a picnic. 

 Catherine looked back and looked at Liam. For some weird reason, Catherine could say that she's not gonna like Liam, she sees him as a happy go lucky i***t who puts a smile as a front to hide all that narcissistic attitude of his "well if you ever change your mind you can always tell Hazel here" she points to the girl who just nodded to Liam who nodded back.

 "This is a huge place I see WVH reputation precedes itself I guess the tuition is worth every penny" Liam gave a chuckle which just made Catherine annoyed at him even more.

   "Of course like I said its one of the best schools in the city maybe even in the whole state we challenge all of our students to perform well in their academics and we also have our local sports team, the seniors are planning to go to the basketball championship finals this September" 

She felt really annoyed at this point, it's like she's giving a tour to a special student who was smarter than her and that thought made her uneasy "there's nothing special about this guy why is every girl talking about him," she thought to her self 

Catherine hated that Liam looked too perfect like he was a prince who was gonna swipe her under her feet get married and they would run off to the sunset ...... "what am I thinking!?" she whispers to herself which Liam heard. "excuse me?" he asked 

Catherine who showed no emotion "nothing doesn't mind it" they were almost at the principal's office when Liam smelled a scent that he hasn't come across in a while. It was the smell of metal but not like any metal this was the scent of blood.

  Judging how the scent was so strong he could tell that it was near ....it was in the school. without hesitation, he quickly ran in the direction of the scent, Catherine who was saying something like how it's the last year of the seniors so they fully support every practice session they do was surprised when Liam just took off while she was in the middle of explaining things. 

 Liam ran so fast he looked like a blur, his eyes turned yellow the mark of the betas his vision showed a line of red and he followed the line until he was at the back part of the school, it leads to a corridor which looked like a place from a movie where the villain always hides. there were a lot of doors you could easily hide behind one if you were being chased and you wouldn't be found. He followed the red line into the farthest room and as he was gonna open the door he felt weird. ....like he was being watched. he slowly turns the knob on the door, and as the door creaks the smell of blood came rushing out like toxic gas, he studied the room.. it was mostly empty except the body of a girl lying there, he kneeled next to her... he checked for a pulse there's a pulse but its faint and by the looks of the blood, she would die of blood loss in matters of minutes.

He examined the wound on her leg, it looked like she was stabbed by a knife or a very huge fork he was thinking what could have caused this wound or who.  his fingers grew into claws and cutting his palm slowly blood was pooling on his palm... to save her life he squeezed a few drops of blood in the girl's mouth and the wound just magically vanished, break time is almost done and the bell is gonna ring any moment he picked her up and her skirt was soaked in blood good thing she was wearing shorts, he brought her to the clinic no one was inside so he set her down at the bed he quickly used soap and washed her skirt and left it out to dry he assumed she would be out for 2 more hours a lot of time for the skirt to dry after he just left it on the table beside her and exited the room.

walking back to the classroom he kept thinking about what happened, he hasn't heard of any other werewolves in town, none of the neighboring clans would do anything like attack a high schooler and in broad daylight, its gonna be a huge problem if it happens to be an omega a werewolf who comes around without a pack of his own. while walking back he suddenly remembers that he left Catherine alone when she was supposed to bring him to the principal's office. just as he thinks about whether the ice queen was gonna have his head he just thought that he would come up with a good lie to tell her as to why he just went Usain bolt down the hall.

He was in front of his classroom, as he was about to enter the hears that cold sooting voice down the hall "Liam! Where have you ran off to I had to apologize to the principal as to why you weren't with us!"  Catherine was furious she was approaching with eyes that basically said "YOUR DEAD TO ME" Liam was shocked and confused like he didn't know what to do or say.

" Ugh, I  ugh had to go to the bathroom?" he just gave a stupid smile and kept chuckling, and as she approached Liam a group of guys was fooling around that they accidentally tripped Catherine that she was falling face first .

Liam's last sight  before falling was Catherine slamming into him and her lips landing on his as they hit the cold concrete floor.

Catherine was out for a bit and as she gains her consciousness back she realized she didn't hit the ground hard as if she fell on a very warm soft but durable pillow, opening her eyes she sees the uniform of her school and that she realizes that she fell not on something but someone.....slowly looking up she saw that it was Liam...now that she has a closer look she sees that Liam is actually very handsome, as quick as she fell on him she quickly backs away from him as if he forced himself on her.

   Minutes later they were surrounded by students, hearing them whisper "She fell on him on purpose", "She touched a guy? I thought she hated being touched by guys?" 

   Liam opens his eyes and sees everyone standing above him, he then sits up … he felt lightheaded a slight pain on the back of his head but he wasn't bleeding then just 5 meters away from him was Catherine who was blushing red like she had a fever of 103. when the whispering died down  Liam  stood up and gave a hand to Catherine who was still blushing .

  "She kissed the new guy" the other girl say as  they laugh  and instead of accepting Liam's hand she instead got up on her own .

  "Are you ok?" he said  "you didn't get hurt did you?" he stared at Catherine who was staring down as she fix her skirt,   she approaches Liam not saying anything ….she looks up staring at him … SLAPPPP!
