Fortunately, the two pills we had taken earlier started to take effect. Leanna felt some strength returning to her body, and the feeling of heat subsided significantly.
She leaned in close to me and whispered in a voice only the two of us could hear, "Zoey, do my steps look convincing?"
I couldn't help but chuckle in response, "They're perfectly believable. It looks just like the d**g is taking effect."
Leanna then excitedly asked in a hushed tone, "I'm a bit nervous. When do you think we'll be taken away?"
Before I could answer her, suddenly, four men approached from behind.
