CHAPTER TEN Leslie didn’t want to join Max in the living room when Clinton and Goldie left for work but had nothing else to do. He sat on the couch with his eyes closed and the television on mute. She wouldn’t dare start the conversation, so she snatched the remote from his lap and turned up the television to get a reaction.
