Chapter Fourteen

*Blaines POV*

I stood with a smile plastered to my face in front of the entire pack. My life just got so much more hectic, but in a good way. I think anyway. I cant believe we thought we were having three babies and now there are four. Three boys and a girl, we definitely are going to have our hands full. Thankfully with a pack you always have help because we are one big family. At the reveal that the fourth baby was a girl I could visually see and hear Fayes excitement much as myself. Not because we will love our boys any less but because we will be able to experiance the best of both worlds so to say.

"Honey?" Faye said bringing my attention back to the event we were currently in.

Smiling at her I turned to face the crowd and cameras that were facing us. I raised my hands to calm the loud room before me. I smiled big at everyone before I spoke.

"It seems our pack is going to be growing a good bit." I chuckled as did several others. "I will admit we are just as shocked as you all are about us having four pups, but rest assured they will be loved dearly. Not just by us and close family, but the family that is the pack." I paused for a second. "Both packs"

"We would never dream of taking our pups from any pack member even those who decide to join my mothers pack. As long as you are in any of our lands you will always be family and friends." Faye spoke stepping beside me. "I must excuse myself as I am feeling really tired, but please everyone enjoy the food."

She kissed me lightly before Tonya helped her off the stage and escorted her out to the car they drove here. I watched after her with nothing but love for her. I smiled at the pack.

"Well you heard her, lets eat!" I laughed.

Everyone enjoyed the feast that Jolene had catered to us. As wolves we eat a lot more than humans, which is what has worried me lately with Faye. She hasnt been eating much and she is eating for five now, I need to call the dr about this. I walked around talking to many people I grew up with, or those who watched me grow up. Many saying congrats others wishing us luck. A hand landing on my sholder startled me as I was talking to Howard.

"Son" My fathers voice said "Congrats, I cant wait to meet my grandkids"

"Father!" I hugged him, It has been several years since I have seen him since he joined the counsel. "I am glad you could make it. I wasnt sure if you would. I do wonder though, does the fact that her pups are not biologically mine bother you?"

"Does it bother you?" He countered

"What? No not at all. They are my pups, and I will love them just as such!"

"As will I. Son blood doesnt always make you family. The love and support you show someone is what makes them family."

I smiled at him and nodded. We stood and talked for awhile, and he informed me he was able to take a weeks vacation so he would get to meet Faye once she got rested up. I had worried he would have to leave right after this and wouldnt meet her. She will win his heart over like she did mine.

"ALPHA" Lonnie shouted through my link, I could tell something was wrong.

"What?" I responded

"It is Faye. Her water broke on the way home! Tonya said the pain become so much that Faye passed out. She rushed her to the Pack hospital."

I took off out the door, my father, Jolene, and several others followed close on my heels. They could all tell something wasnt right. I sped through town, the ten minute drive feeling like an hour. Before I burst through the door my father grabbed my arm.

"What is going on. Dont leave us out son, we are here for you." He said. Behind him stood, Jolene, Howard, Wayne, and Chris.

Taking a deep breathe I explained what Lonnie had linked me at the reveal. I sent Chris back to explain to the pack what was happening since he was the only one not family at the current moment. My father helped me calm down so that once I entered I wouldnt freak out but whatever it is I was seeing. After about five minutes we entered the building and immediatly a nurse ran up to me.

"Alpha" She said with a quick bow. "Please come with me. The dr felt it best we do an emergancy C-Section since there are so many pups, and we honestly do not know how developed they are. He sent me to retrieve you while they prep her. She is unconcious due to pain meds as the pain had become to hard on her body. They weight of so many pups was straining her body so much lately she become weak."

I didnt say anything but allowed her to lead me to the room where they had Faye. I felt so much better when my eyes laid on her body and I could see she was breathing. They had IV fluids going in her, something about her being dehydrated. I just nodded at what they said, but all I could focus on was Faye and the babies being healthy. After explaining to me what they were about to do and that with the unkown of her pregnancy there was several nurses here to assist if needed, they finally began the surgery.

I know in reality it hadnt been but like two minutes after I went back that they started, as they spoke fast while working to get things ready. It was an emergancy afterall, but it felt like they wouldnt shut up for the life of me. I stood by her head stroking her, gowned in PPU, I didnt want to see her cut open and bleeding. So instead I held her hand and ran my other hand through her hair as I focused on her breathing.

About three minutes or so later I heard a babies cry and my head popped up. A nurse grabbed the baby from the dr as he turned to look. Seconds later another cry was heard and a nurse took that baby too. After hearing the fourth cry and let out a breath I didnt know I was holding. They are all alive, we have that much going for us so far. The nurses worked quick to clean them up, weigh and measure them before placing them in their bassinets. Each one was labeled with a number for the order they were born.

"You have three boys and a daughter as suspected" The dr said to me as I watch the nurses work. " The first born son was born at seven pounds tweleve ounces, the second born son was born at eight pounds two ounces, the third born son weighed seven pounds nine ounces, and the little girl born last weighed six pounds even. She is tiny and seeming to be struggling to breath on her own and is jaundice. She has been taken to the NICU but she seems to be stable. The boys are all healthy and will be in the nursery until we get Faye settled in. You can visit them there."

"Thank you doctor. Take care of Faye while I am gone please. Can I visit my daughter too?" I asked my heart sinking as I took in her condition. No wonder she had been missed before, she is so much smaller than the others.

"Yes. Nurse Susie will take you to her. You cant pick her up just yet until we run test to see what is causing her to be struggling to breath."

I followed the short red headed nurse through the maze of hallways until we stopped by a room where I had to dress once again in PPU. We entered the room and she led me past several incubators containing small babies in them. Some had tubes sticking out all over them and it broke my heart. She led me to one that said baby Jordan on the side and I quickly realized that I would have to ensure they got my last name on their birth certificate. Inside the incubator in front of me was a tiny yet beautiful little baby wrapped in a pink blanket and a hat on too. I smiled at her, she has her mamas nose and lips for sure.

"Daddy is here baby girl, everything will be just fine." I whispered placing my hand on the side of her incubator.

The nurse then led me to the nursery where the boys were. I got to hold each one for as long as I wanted and feed them too when they got hungry. I was currently holding little baby boy number three, We hadnt discussed names yet. All of a sudden a blaring noise came over the intercom and everyone started running up the hallway in the direction of Fayes recovery room.

"Code Blue Code Blue room 103!"

I couldnt remember the room Faye was in but my blood ran cold and my wolf cried, something isnt right. I gently placed my son back into his bassinet before running out of the door. Several nurses tried to stop me but I ignored them all as I raced to her room. Looking through the door my heart stopped, they had her chest exposed and her doing CPR while they also looked to be packing her wound that was bleeding profusely.

The doctor saw me and sent a nurse out to update me after pulling the blinde closed so I couldnt see anymore. She approached me with a solem look on her face, shutting the door behind her.

"Alpha please follow me" She said

I felt numb but I followed her. She led me to an empty office room that looked like it was meant for staff meetings. She handed me a cup of hot coffee before turning to face me.

"Alpha is there any reason you think someone would want to hurt Faye?" She asked slowly

"What!?" I asked slamming my coffee down "What is going on!" I yelled

She flinched as my Alpha aura rushed over her. "Someone entered the room when no one was in there, they cut her stitches open and she lost a lot of blood" She rushed out.

"Someone has tried to kill her!?!?!" I was so mad my wolf begged to come out. I pushed him back. "Will she make it?"

"We got a rythm back right as I was leaving the room. The doctor is ordering a blood tranfusin to replinish the blood she lost and is working on patching her back up. We do not understand what is happening sir."

"Someone tried to kill my mate. I want the pups gaurded nonstop, I want this hospital on lock down no one is to come in without ID and signing in. If there is no record of them locally they are to be sent to a different hospital. I want the vidoe footage from the hall her room is on. I will find out who did this!" I slammed my fist onto the table infront of me and heard it crack.

The poor nurse took off out the door to see to it that my orders were obeyed. Moments later I heard them call code purple, the way people rushed about I knew that meant they locked down the hospital like I demanded. I rushed out of the room to find Lonnie and the others to tell them what was going on. As I rounded the corner and glanced out of a nearby window I saw who looked to be no other than Leon.
