The Scarred Shewolf

Chapter Seven

No no no! This can't be happening! I thought to myself as I shoveled Faye up and rushed her into one of the cabins. I laid her on one of the beds as I felt hot tears stream down my face. Jolene grabbed me by my arm and gently moved me away from Faye who still laid bleeding.I growled at her trying to get away and back to Faye as I realized a figure walking to my mate.

"Stay away from her" I growled Rhett nearly taking over. Before anything could happen my body was being electricuted as Jolene shocked me with her powers. My body went limp on the floor before she finally stopped her assault on me.

"Blaine listen to me" She begged with unshed tears in her eyes "I am sorry for that but you must let Lathon do his job. He is a pack Dr to the werebears pack. He is also a former warrior and was one of the bears who faught beside you today. Their pack thought it best if a healer accompanied in case someone became in need of medical help. He can heal her, or at least stop the bleeding while her body heals. She is strong she can and will pull through this."

"She is turning pale, so much blood!" I whispered still shaking in fear for Faye. "The baby!" I said suddenly remembering she was pregnant.

"Listen" Jolene said "Really listen hard. Carefully put your hand on upper stomach and focus your senses. You are an Alpha so I know you can hear the baby."

Nodding I slowly got to my feet and made my way to Fayes other side not occupied by the healer. I looked at her unconcious figure, her skin more pale than earlier, her breathing shallow, and her heart rate steady but slow. I signed she is in bad shape but she is alive and okay. Her wolf is healing her as I could feel the wolves presences the closer I got to her. I took a shaky hand and lightly placed it on her upper abdomen,closing my eyes.

I focused soley on her, taking slow deep breaths. I blocked out the doctor who was talking low and fast as he worked on Faye. I heard the wind outside, and mumbles coming from the warriors who waited outside. I focused hard to block it all out. Finally I heard it, the faint but steady and fast heartbeat that was seperate from Fayes slow one. My eyes light up as my heart filled with a joy I didnt know I could feel. I looked up with my eyes wide as I locked my eyes with Jolenes.

"The Pup is alive" I mumbled to her shocked that the baby had survived the attack.

Jolene's eyes widened by my statement as tears fell down her cheeks. Her hands covered her mouth as the tears began to fall harder. She was clearly taken aback but happy by the news that the pup is still alive. She nodded her thanks at me before we both turned to the healer who was cleaning Fayes now closed wound.

"The cut wasnt as deed as we had feared. He had cut an area in which blood flows faster which caused the illusion of a deep gash with so much blood. She is healed now thanks to her wolf, who assisted me to healing her as fast as possible in order to protect the pup within her. The pup wasnt harmed as all since the wound was so shallow, however with that being said Faye has lost a lot of blood. Being pregnant that isnt a good thing at all as the child needs the bloodflow in order to provide the nutrients, and oxygen they need. She needs to get to a hospital and have a transfusion to get her back to as she needs to be. I have put her into a medical coma for the time being. Your healer in your pack can awaken her when her body is strong enough to endure the mental response she is bound to have after everything." Lathon said

"Understood Dr I greatly appreciate your assistance and if your pack ever needs anything we are at your debt." I said reaching my hand out to shake his. "Thank you for fighting beside us today as well."

"Not an issue at all, I am proud to have faught for the good of all of our future." He smilled returning my handshake.

We returned outside to the others who had waited patiently for our return. Everyone now stood in their human form, even the shifters who hadnt earlier shifted. I greeted them all, before I said my appreciation to them all. I reached out to all of the other shifters that I now see them as allies and that if they ever need anything to just reach out to my pack. Turning to my pack I sent them back to our home territory and asked that Lonnie Assist me in getting a private jet to transfer Faye safely from here to our hospital within our borders. I happened to see movement to my right to see Howard holding a struggling Leon, who in all the commotion with Faye I had completely forgot about.

Letting out a loud demanding growl, every one of my pack members dropped to their knees bareing their necks to me in submission. The other shifters all looked at me with wide surprised eyes all taking a step back without realizing. The wolves here that had given up as well as Leon also beared their neck to me, this brought a huge grin to my face. I stalked toward Leon, before grabbing him by his throat and lifting him off the groud. I roared in his face making him shake in fear and squeal like a little girl.

"Nathan" I called to one of my warriors. He nodded and approached me baring his neck to me. "Take Leon back to the packhouse and place him in our dungeon. He will be staying with us for the foreseeable future. The rest are to be hand delivered to the counsel."

I smirked at Leon who held a look of horror on his face. "Y-YOU cant do that!" He stuttered.

"I can do as I please with you. You assulted, used, beat, and kidnapped a pregnant shewolf. A shewolf who happens to be my mate!" I snarled at him.

"IMPOSSIBLE" He now yelled at me. "She is MY MATE, and the pup is mine! I kidnapped no one, I took what is rightfully mine!"

Rhett took over instantly grabbing him tighter around his throat cutting off his airway before he could say anything more. Getting an inch from his face Rhett howled so lowed every shifter in the immediate area knelt. Weird as to other species doesnt normally respond to our authority.

"Listen real close MUTT" Rhett spat "I am her second chance mate. You are nothing more to her than a piece of s**t who took advantage of her, tortured her, and made her life a living hell. She will be MY world, MY wife, My Luna, My Future, and your NOTHING. You will be joining me in my cells, getting the bare minimal to stay alive until MY MATE is healed physically and mentally enough to punish you herself! Count your days you pathetic flea infested excuse for a werewolf because they are numbered."

Throwing him on the ground with enough force to break his leg and shoulder on impact, Rhett then gave me control back. In that second a thought hit me.glanced around scanning faces.

"Where is James?" I asked

"You threw him into the vans windshield earlier, he is alive but hurting like hell. I cast a spell to keep him imobile until I could take care of him" Jolene spoke up.

I turned to look as her. "If youre as badass as you have been today then how home you never put him in his place before now?" I wasnt trying to be rude but if she had Faye wouldnt be in the mess she is in now.

"Because Blaine, I used to be just like what you will see Faye like when she wakes. Scared, Timid, Shy and unsure of the power i possessed. It wasnt until I found my true mate that I realized all that I am capable of. I have been training to strengthen my gifts every since I left her. So that when this day came I could hopefully and finally protect my daughter, which I had failed at before" She said in such a way my heart broke for her.

"I am so sorry. Please Follow my men back to our territory with him. I will have them escort you safely back to your mate with James as well so you can seek your revenge over time. I know he has made both of your lives hell." I bowed my head to her, which is something an Alpha never does unless to someone in higher command than they are. However I felt Jolene deserved it after everything she has been through in life.

With that everyone seperated heading back to their families, and my pack back to our homeland. Lonnie escorted us to a jet that would fly us and my new found mate home, where I will begin to work on a way for her to see herself for the strong woman we all know she is. To show her she is loved, wanted and needed, and to love herself as well. From what everyone says Faye as well as her pup, our pup, is destined for great things. I have to help her realize the potential in herself without pushing her to fast. I pray to the Moongoddess that I am able to do what I can to help her.

By the end of the following day we were in the pack house. I decided to have Faye here in a Guest room where one of our pack Drs set her up with the blood she needed as well as fluids too. He said the Pup was in perfect health but that she was progressing a lot faster than an average wolf, even an Alpha wolf. She is supposed to be like a week pregnant yet was reading about a month. He couldnt tell me how long before she goes into labor since he has never seen a pregnancy such as this.

Dr.Calvin asked to come daily to check on her and document the progress of her pregnancy to hopefully figure out a time line. I approved his request so that we can insure the health of both faye and her pup. I ask that he not tell me the gender as I didnt want to know until she does. I actually said I wanted to know nothing other than if mama and baby were fine, besides that I asked to not be told anything. I didnt want Faye to be upset someone knew about her pup before she did.

"Alpha Blaine" Dr Calvin called to me through the mindlink. I was instantly on alert.

"Yes?" I responded sitting the paperwork down on my desk that I had been going through

"Faye seems to be doing much better today. It has been Three days since we have had her hooked with fluids and her blood has been great just hours after arriving. The pup is still healthy as well, However I think we need to wake her. The pup needs nutrients that can only be gotten through her eating herself. Is it okay that I wake her? "

I froze my heart pounding in my chest. This is it, its time to wake her and hopfully help her take the next step into her new life.

"Calvin Please hold off. I want Jolene here when she wakes up. I am hoping a familiar face can help keep her calm and feeling safe."

"Yes Alpha I understand" He responded

I grabbed my phone and dialed Jolene immediately. She answered the phone after three rings.

"Blaine what is it? Is something wrong!?" She asked alarmed.

"No Not at all. Dr. Calvin says it is time. He says she is healed and perfectly healthy. Her vitals are great and the pup is healthy too. However we need her to wake up so that she can eat and provide other nutients to the pup." I responded my joy obvious in my tone.

"That is great! Please call me once she is awake and feeling up to it. I would love to talk to her"

"Actually Jolene, I was wondering if you can come down before we wake her. You are the only familiar face that she can trust and I think it will be very helpful to have you here to help her adjust."

"Really?! I dont want to intrude."

"No I mean it, without you here I fear she will freak out on us."

"That makes since. Give me until sundown and I will be there." I could hear the smile in her voice as she hung up.

After she hung up I began setting things into motion to get ready for Faye to wake up. I dont want her to feel overwhelmed so I sent anyone not crucial to be here to cabins available throughout the territory to stay until further notice. I also called Lonnie who was on border patrol to let him know what is going on. He asked for the day off tomorrow to come by, But I told him to wait and see how she is reacting to everything before we bring anyone besides Jolene in. I wont even be around her until she has adjusted some, though I knew it would drive me and Rhett crazy.

I must have dozed off on my couch in my office as I had been thinking of how things could unfold. I woke to a light knock on my office door. Startled I fell into the floor, only to hear someone chuckling at me. I looked up to see Jolene staring at me trying not to burst out laughing too. I glared at her before I couldnt contain my laughter either.

"The big pup fall down?" She teased

I flipped her off before getting up and grabbing her into a tight hug. Ive always liked Jolene but I wouldve never thought I would mate with her daughter. She hugged me back both of our nerves radiating off of us. Taking a step back I looked at her.

"Are you ready?" I asked

"I have waited five years to see my baby again. I know she believed I was dead as that is what Alpha William and I thought was best for both her and James to think. Though rumor has it he didnt believe I died even though they had a funeral and everything." She said "I never stopped loving her nor checking with Willaim on about how she was doing. I never imagined she would hurt her the way he did. william said she always seemed healthy and happy, apparently that was the front James made her put on. It is so sad"

"It is sad and infuriating for sure." I said as I mindlinked Dr. Calvin to head to Fayes room. "Calvin will meet you in there. I do not feel it is best if anyone besides you are in the room when she wakes. The house only has those I need here and they are commanded to stay unseen unless asked for. I will not enter the room until she is ready, nor will anyone else. Rosa will leave food for you both at the door and knock twice to let you know it is there. If you need anything else just call my cell and let me know. Please keep me updated about twice a day as to her progress please."

"I know staying away will not be easy for you, though I agree bombing her with everyone at once will only cause her to shut down" She smilled and with that she headed to find Faye. Following Calvins scent I am sure.

I shortly followed and sat outside the room in the hall quietly. I will not intrude but I wanted to know the moment she woke up. Dr. Calvin came out About 7pm and linked me that he reversed the coma and that she should wake before to long, though not to be alarmed if it takes a few hours. He smilled at me and I thanked him for understanding that I wished to not be seen or heard. I dozed off an hour and a half later as there hasnt been any sound coming from the room other than that of the heart monitor that Calvin had set up just to be safe.

"Mom" A soft hoarse voice whispered startling me awake. Glancing down at my watch it said it was 10:42pm. It had taken her nearly four hours to wake up. I was just so thankful she did indeed wake up.

"Yes Faye it is me" Jolene said, and I could hear the tears in her voice.
