Chapter Sixteen

*Counsil Alpha Waynes POV*

Blaine had just linked me that his informer told him that the two pack members phones location pinged at the Alpha house. He voiced that he felt it was a trap or destraction and to be careful and not stop looking other places. I agree with him, because honestly how stupid could they be to go to the Alpha house? Were they after the money that was kept in the safe, or other valuable objects? I wasnt sure but I would find out.

My wolf Paul was itching to come out and murder to son of a b***h who decided to attempt to kill my sons mate, and took my grandson. I took out my phone and called at old contact who worked as part of the house crew, but that also knew when trouble came how to hide and get help. It wasnt the first time that the house has been infiltrated while Ruth was working there. She was trained to fight and was very stealthy. Being older people assumed she was to weak to worry about, but boy were they wrong.

"Hello?" A voice whispered on the phone.

"Ruth its Wayne" I could hear her sign of relief " Are they still there?" I asked

"Yes. I was up in the attic when I heard them come in and the other workers screamed out in fear. I knew my scent is everywhere since I work here so they wouldnt know if I was still here or not. I immediatly climbed into the laundry shoot and shimmied my way to the basement as quietly as I could. I then proceeded to wait until I heard them usher everyone up to the second floor and into the conference room. When I was sure they werent near the kitchen I managed to get out and to hide in the walk in freezer where I doubted they would look for me. Its cold as damn polar bear balls in here but nothing I cant handle." She whispered.

"Good thinking. You have always been smart and quick to think when something happens. Do you know how many there are?"

"Karman and Oliver are here just like your sons video suggested. Thankfully they were listening too and didnt hear my phone. The damn thing wouldnt turn down. Leon is here too, he has your grandson. He keeps bitching about how he wants all of his kids besides the weak b***h one. I assume he is referring to your granddaughter. He says something about them being powerful and he would raise them to teach everyone a lesson for how they have treated him. He also wanted to kill Blaine, though I know he would die trying. However there is a few more involved than you thought, some I am afraid will truly shock you."

She continued to whisper and I could hear her shivering. If I didnt get men there soon I knew she would go into shock soon, the freezer was a smart idea for a short period of time but long length of time could cause serious issues for her. As I listened to her I linked the men the counsel had rushed to me to meet me about a mile from the Alpha house. Thankfully in wolf form and being such high rank they ran super f*****g fast which is what is needed right now. We had no time to spare with them having a new born child that was only hours old.

"Wayne, I am afraid that Chris the guard that had been assigned to Faye is also involved. So is Tucker and Kaylee the twins who you raised after their parents died by a rogue attack. Blaine had made them both enforceres around the territory because he trusted them to protect everyone. I know Tonya was involved with Chris but from what I have been able to hear she is pissed at him for what he is doing and demanding that he turn himself it. He only laughs and told her she was stupid for returning her to get things Faye would need that she couldve staid out of this but now its to late."

"s**t!" I was pissed. I do not understand why the twins would help a rogue after several murdered their parents and turn their back on the pack who raised and cared for them. "Have you heard why they are even at the pack house?"

"They are looking for books and other information that specifies about what powers the children hold, what their destiny is, and so on. However they are also raiding anything that can bring them money along their way. They said they only to the first born because being first obviously meant he was the most powerful and Karmen couldnt take all three boys without getting caught." She paused taking a long shaky breathe. "They knew you would instantly search the perimeter and not here so they figured they would have time to escape with at least the one baby before you discovered they had been here."

"Ruth thank you. Get off the phone, bundle up and reserve your energy. Help is on the way I promise."

I hung the phone up and sent a silent prayer to the mood goddess that Ruth doesnt die in there. I linked Blaine giving him the names of the other traitors that Ruth had overheard talking. He was pissed but I reminded him he was needed there and to let me handle this. I then linked Jolene, Howard, Lonnie, and Martin to meet me as well. Shifting I took off through the woods allowing Paul to run off some anger. It didnt take me long to reach the clearing I had told the others to meet me at. Shifting back I stood naked before the others.

"Jolene you are to get the baby safely and return him to the hospital after letting Ruth out of the freezer and taking her with you to the hospital to be checked up. Lonnie and Martin I want you to target Leon, Howard and I will target the twins and Oliver, As I am sure Jolene will handle Karman when getting the baby. The others will assist us with the traitors as well as getting the staff out safely. I hate to attack our own but they have gone to far." I demanded not waisting any time. Everyone knodded their head in agreement.

Shifting back we sprung into action. We surrounded the home and a few guards remained outside incase someone slipped by us. Jolene entered the side of the house near the kitchen in human form as quietly as she could and opened the freezer, while the rest of us waited. She was needed to get the baby before we attacked. Ruth was okay but obviously freezing, I linked her the plan and she agreed to go though she didnt want to. For now she was to go join the guards outside to stay out of the fight.

Everyone shifted to human aside from me, I decided to remain in my wolf form as I was very intimidating like this. I was huge being of the highest rank possible, and I was solid black even my eyes. We decided to make our presence known hoping to get them away from the staff and hopfully Karman would have the baby alone somewhere to make it easier for Jolene. I growled loudly after Jolene hid so that she could sneak by once the others came down.

"WHAT THE HELL!" I heard several say before running to the stairs. Their faces instantly paled, especially the twins as they realized who I was.

"Awe come to rescue your pathetic staff members?" Leon Taunted as he come into view. I could smell the fear rolling off of him though he tried to hid it.

"Yes and to get back my grandson!" Lonnie demanded anger rolling off him in waves

"Please" Leon scuffed "You wont get your hands on him as long as I am alive. He will be the one to rip you all to shreds one day."

"I can change the you being alive part pretty easily" Lonnie retored with a laugh "Not like that would be very hard"

He was taunting him trying to get him to come to fight. Being challeged in front of those he recruited he had to choice but to fight or be seen as weak. I could feel Leon grow pissed at Lonnies words and smirked. He was to easy. Leon jumped the banister shifting midair landing on Lonnie. I immediatly countered his attack pulling him off of Lonnie and throwing him across the room. Immediatly the others rushed into the fight. I glanced over and saw Jolene quietly run up the stares, as I glanced around Karmen wasnt anywere meaning she must be up stairs. I turned myself back to the fight in front of me and attacked Kaylee first.

*Jolene's POV*

I ran up the steps once I was sure everyone was preoccupied and wouldnt attack me for doing so. I used my nose to scent where Karmen was. Slowly I followed her scent to a spare room, slowly I opened the door seeing her cooing to the baby she had laid on the bed. Her head instantly popped up at my entrance and her eyes widened in fear before anger took over.

"So tell me Karmen what made a repected nurse turn her back on her own pack and kidnap the alphas son?" I asked her

"This isnt the Alphas son, none of the babies are his. They are rightfully Leons and he deserves to have his kids in his life. That b***h didnt know what she had when she had Leon." She hissed at me.

"Ahh this makes since now. You mated with Leon, I am going to assume when he went to murder my daughter you came across him and immediatly chose to do whatever he needed. Seeing you as an opportunity he used you to take my grandson. Am I right"

Funny how somehow he got a second chance mate too. I thought those who deserved it got it but maybe this was the moon goddesses way of showing us who couldnt be trusted. Karmen growled at me when I took a step toward the baby. Oh I was about to enjoy this. I smirked at her and went toward him again. She lunged at me and I raised my hand and she hit my barrier spell like a brick wall falling to the floor. She jumped back up with a growl again, this time she shifted and tried to attack.

After several failed times to attack me I allowed her to come at me but as she went to bite me I dodged and countered her attack. I grabbed her throat and squeezed crushing her bones which closed her airways. I didnt break her neck as the death would be to quick. I knew she would heal but she would die from lack of oxygen before she could heal enough to breath again. I broke each leg to add to her pain, after all she stole my grandson. I left her laying there in pain, dying, as I grabbed the baby. Instead of risking going back down stairs into the fight, I found the staff who sat scared in the conference room. I opened the window and ushered them all to jump out. The two story high jump wouldnt hurt us and even if someone did break a leg we heal pretty quickly so at least they would still be alive.

After I made sure everyone was out of the window, I followed suit holding tighting to the baby. I ran into the woods where I located Ruth. A guard and I headed to the hospital with both the baby and ruth, and I prayed all of our people would come out of the fight unharmed. As I thought it I felt a pain shoot through me causing me to nearly drop the baby. Ruth grabbed him from me as I fell to my knees. Martin was hurt and I could feel his pain.

"Get them to the hospital now!" I yelled to Kane the guard. He nodded and took off with them. Shifting I headed back to the house ready for blood.

I rushed through the door and say Martin on the floor a knife in his chest inches from his heart. Dead bodies laid everywhere, thankfully it was that of the other people. Leon was the only one still alive. I growled at the men and woman surroundind Leon ready to kill him. Wayne, in his wolf form, met my pissed off gaze and knew I wanted this kill. He hurt my Mate, My daughter, and nearly my grandson. Wayne nodded and I rushed forward. I jumped over the other wolves that surrounded Leon, who had stupidly went back to human form, and in mid air I grabbed his head in my huge wolf mouth. Biting down and when my feet touched the ground the one swift move had left Leons body without the head. I spit his head to the floor and it rolled a few feet away.

Shifting back I ran to Martins side and carefully removed the knife so he could heal. He had lost a lot of blood and was pale. As an Alpha though he should heal quickly and be able to replinish his blood without needing the hospital. He lost nothing compared to what I assume Faye had lost though. Holding him close to me I kissed him lightly with tears in my eyes. I knew I had almost lost everything in just the last few hours.
