The Scarred Shewolf

Chapter Two

I am unsure of how long I was out but I woke to the morning sun shining through the windows. I quickly realized what had happened against my will and pushed the thought from my head. I didnt bother looking at my body knowing an marks that had been left will be healed in mear moments. I would never think back to this moment as I didnt anything else that has happened to me, that is how I manage to stay sain. I laid quietly on the bed not moving, as I let the tears flow freely from my eyes. I could hear Athena crying inside too. What a mess my life has become.

"Faye" Athena whispered between sobs.

"Yes?" I responded

"Do you know anything about the wolf's reproductive system?"

"No mom died before explaining things and well school doesn't teach us that why?"

" A werewolf's wolf, well a shewolves wolf can tell within minutes after intercourse if she will conceive a child from that time. See a werewolf's sperm swims many times faster than that of a human. It takes a human three weeks before knowing for sure they are pregnant. A shewolf can know thanks to her wolf nearly immediately and within two days be confirmed by ultrasound. Many Shewolves stay pregnant at most six months, however those pregnant by alpha blood or are of alpha blood themselves are pregnant only four months, making the process a lot faster."

I froze at her words. "Why are you telling me this?" I ask "Are you saying you know already that Leon has impregnated us?"

"Faye we are pregnant and if we stay here we will die. We have to protect our pup" Athena said with strength in her voice. For once, I knew she was right.

I knew I had to be careful but act fast, If I didn't leave today they would smell my pregnancy on me come tomorrow. I placed my hand on my stomach, thankful this was the one room in the home with no camera. I raced into the shower to clean myself up, my pain gone and my wounds healed. It is a school day so to prevent unwanted attention Leon will be in school and my father lets me out to attend as well. I will use this time to escape, while they are busy and engaged in other activities. It will give me a head start but not by much I knew I would have to find a body of water to wash my scent away to help keep from being found. Thankfully as a child my mother had placed me in many swim lessons, so I was known as the best swimmer in our pack. Since we are located in Virginia about 50 miles from the ocean my plan was to head there.

They would assume that I would head north as my mother used to say she was from the SnowClaw Pack in Boston. I am sure they would think I would look for refuge with long lost relatives. However what they don't know is though yes my mother lived there before coming here no one here ever knew her birth pack. When she got sick she had whispered in my ear the secret she kept. She was born in the largest pack in the united states, based in Northeastern Georgia. They liked the mountains there and called them home reaching from the smokey mountains all the way to smaller mountains in a small town in Georgia called Toccoa, Near the border of South Carolina. She told me to look for a Man named Lonnie if I ever needed help. She said he was one I could trust.

"Faye you will be late for school if you don't get your sorry ass moving. Clothes are on your bed door is unlocked. You better keep your mouth shut about last night." My father yelled from my room before turning and slamming the door shut behind him. A few seconds later I heard the door to his truck slam and him drive off.

"Here goes nothing" I mumbled to Athena

" Do not worry about getting dressed. Pack those clothes left into a small bag. You are early enough we can transform without hurting your pup. our pup. we are isolated here in the woods no one will see you exit naked. Walk to the edge of the forest and allow me to take over. I will grab the bag in my mouth and head to the closest shore that has trees for coverage. We should reach it within thirty to forty minutes. The down side you've not considered since Leon knows we are his mate, once we cross the border of our packs land he will fill the snap of our bond fading. The further we get from him the more our bond will start to break. Once you find a pack willing to take us in and pledge your oath to that alpha your bond with Leon will fully break. We wont have much of a head start since he will feel us leave, thankfully we will be in wolf form and I am rather fast. We must go though, now" Athena demanded in a tone with more confidence than I have ever felt or hear her have. She gave me confidence too as I rushed through the house to the woods.

Willing Athena to come forward I arched my back bracing myself for the shift. Most of the time shifts do not hurt and are effortless. However Athena was rarely allowed out due to my father and his rules. Due to the lack of transformations it was more painful than I recalled. About a minute passed before I opened my eyes and I was on all fours, looking down at my Auburn fur and paws. Stretching my body and shaking out my fur Athena and I grinned at being free again. Then Athena Took off into the woods, she was right she is very fast. Most wolves are fast but she was really fast. Normally only those of alpha blood could run this fast, weird, I thought to myself.

The trees flew by at an impressive rate. I giggled at how exhilarating it felt to run in my wolf form again. Athena jumped over fallen trees, swerved by trees in her path. She splashed into a river that ran through the forest and swam downstream. We swam for several miles jumping out and running a few miles into the woods to run the exact path back to the river to do it again every so often. She was causing detour routes to deter them off our scent for as long as possible. If they followed each path it would take them longer to get to us. The hope behind this was that maybe we could jump into the ocean before they caught up with us.

"Okay" Athena said to me within our mind. "In about two minutes we will cross out of our borders. It will hurt but you can't fight me. You must allow me to push on or it will delay us. You will feel the breaking too and you will feel him become aware of it. You will feel his emotions to it. Meaning he will also feel yours. You must keep your mind blank. You can not think of where we are, where we are going, the pup or anything he may pick up on it and it could lead him to us."

"OK" was all I had time to say before the wave of pain hit me. Like a major heart attack or something. I wanted to crumble to the ground, to cry out and hold my chest. I refrained from doing so giving complete control to Athena as I thought about nothing but what Leon and my father had done to me. The marks I had woken to on my body, his seed dripping from me, the hatred I felt for them both.

About a minute after I felt the pain I felt him. I felt Leon tense up as if I were in his mind. I felt him grab his chest as he let out a growl, his eyes showing he knew that we left pack lands. I felt him clench his teeth and ball his fist up as he crashed the desk he had been sitting in at school. Then I felt him leaving, coming for us, shifting with a soul-shattering howl. However I felt his need to find my father first, meaning that would buy us a little time. With panic rising in me I pushed Athena to run faster giving her my strength too. We bolted through the woods and finally I no longer felt the pain nor did I feel Leons emotions anymore either.

I stayed silent, allowing Athena to focus on getting us to our destination as quickly as possible. About Ten minutes later I began to smell the salt water of the ocean. I could hear the waves crashing against the shore, the hum of the humans vehicles traveling the roads not far from us. Athena slowed to a trot as we neared dangerously close to the humans, I knew she couldn't safely get us any closer. After a short pause and listening to our surroundings to make sure the coast was clear, Athena released her hold willing the transformation back to human. It was Less painful this time and faster as well. In less than a minute, I stood naked on two legs once more. I rushed to gather the clothes I had packed, looking for the one-piece bathing suit I am now glad I thought to grab.

Once I stood in the blue bathing suit with small white hearts all over it, I quickly flipped my long brown hair over and gathered it into a decent ponytail to keep it out of my face. Slipping on some sandals, I once again started moving. I used my nose to follow the scent of the ocean. I moved quickly but not to fast that I grabbed the attention of those around me. I decided to walk the sidewalk along with other humans to help mingle my scent with theirs. As I walked through the crowds of Virginia Beach I smiled kindly to those who acknowledged me so that I didn't seem rude. I stopped long enough to grab a burger to replenish my strength for the long swim I was about to have ahead of me.

"Ma'am are you lost?" A voice said from behind me. I jumped startled before turning to face him. He was dressed in a law outfit but he too was a shifter. I could smell his wolf. Athena agreed but said his wolf was not a tainted one and that she felt he was safe to confine in.

"No sir. I am only passing through. I was unaware that this town was claimed I promise I am not looking for trouble." I said

"No this is no mans land Ma'am you have nothing to worry about there. My name is Gaige by the way from Norfolks small pack called the white fang pack. not many know much of us as we like to keep it that way. I work out here to earn a living though and to help keep the crime rates down. I can sense you are in a rush and I smell the fear on you as well as your pack. I can assume if you're here you're leaving your pack. Not to pry but if you need help my pack will do what we can."

"Thank you Gaige that is sweet but I come from the Moontribe pack, they are large in numbers. Though the alpha is a good man he knows nothing about the horror that lurks within his pack. His own son. I am not safe here, and I can not endanger your pack though I do appreciate the offer for help." I smiled kindly but turned to head the way I had been walking.

"At least let me help you get to your next location" He offered coming to walk beside me. "You plan to jump into the ocean to mask your scent correct?"

"Yes" I nodded

"I own a yacht here. Allow me to meet you about a mile from shore. I will collect you there once you've successfully masked your scent. From there I can take you wherever it is you are attempting to swim to."

"Why are you so desperate to help me?" I asked "I'm Not trying to be rude"

"Because....." He hesitated looking anywhere but at me before locking his eyes with mine " You remind me of someone and I can smell your pup. If you are running to protect your pup I assume the bad men coming for you will scent it too. If the pup is his then you have to have a damn good reason to run from alpha blood with his pup"

"I....Uh.....I don't know what you're talking about." I stuttered. He stared at me and I sighed "How can you smell my pup already?"

"Because the man in which the pup belongs is my nephew. I am the Alpha of my pack, the brother to your Alpha. If my nephew has gone on the darker side of our creation I need to know. I must Warn my brother but first I must protect you and the pup. You need to tell me everything please."

"Your nephew!" I nearly screamed

"I knew the boys been off since he was about 14 years old. My wolf told me he had started pushing his wolf away, forcing him down and not allowing him out at all. That will kill his wolf and in turn him if he doesn't stop, but if he is out forcing women into activities against their will then he is to far gone to be saved." The middle-aged man frowned.

"I was his mate" I whispered

"That is even worse. Our nature is to protect our mates, love them, do anything for them. If he did this to you then his wolf must be really weak already."

"Ill accept the help but I ask that no one ever finds out where you take me and that you only share what you must with your brother. Thank you"

Gaige smiled at me before showing me a safe secluded place to enter the water. He told me he would meet me about a mile from shore. I took several breaths before I jumped off the ledge and into the ocean water. I instantly went under water and began swimming further into the ocean away from land, away from my pack. I only came up to take a breath before plunging under the water again to avoid being seen by Leon or his men if they had caught up to me. After about ten minutes of nonstop swimming I spotted the boat Gaige had described to me. Approaching it the man smiled helping me up into the boat greeting me with a towel to wrap around me.

"We are far enough out that they can not see or smell you" he said "However my men have verified that they have arrived and that he over heard Leon say something about your pup. We can assume he knows you're pregnant. He will not give up hunting for you, he also caught my scent with yours so he knows that I have at least made contact with you. He will not come for me directly though as his father wouldn't allow it. My pack is on high alert and on lock down incase he has someone else attack them. I have also contact your alpha. He asked for you to call him."

With shaky hands I took the phone from Gaige and sighed.
